Vacation Rental Pros

We originally had reservations for a beachfront condo on the south end of Hilton Head Island. My wife heard something and saw sparks coming from the main electrical panel. We notified the after hours maintenance number and they sent out a great young man (Andrew) who quickly not only identified the issue but promptly get in touch with the agency to find us a new place for our two week vacation. While there were no other direct beachfront units available they found a great location with an ocean view just a few steps from the beach. This new unit was excellent and the remainder of our stay was uneventful, peaceful and very comfortable! These folks made a tough situation turn out very well!

We called to look into cabins in Gatlinburg TN. I told the representative I would call back if we were interested. He then let me know he could book it because they had our credit card info on file from our last rental with them. I told him no,we were looking at other options. We were again contacted by the representative and he was told once again we were not interested. He then took it upon himself to charge our credit card they “had on file” from our previous rental. When I contacted the company they replied with, oops he must have misunderstood. This is not a company I will ever use again and now that I know they keep your credit card info, I will be telling all of the people I know that use them to never do so again. $950.00 is more than an oops!!! They had no care as to what they did.

Vacation rental pros were awful. We called and emailed daily. We received no closure. We were rented a unit that was under construction. We had no access to a view or porch . The windows were screwed shut . Planned construction was going on in Adjacent units. We were told that someone in the office was told to call us before we left. We were also told that they would offer us compensation or a new unit. This never happened. I would never use vrbo or vacation rental pros again.

Stay away! Bait and switch all the way! My wife booked 622 Cinnamon Beach for our family vacation. Once the rental agreement was signed and deposit was made a representative sent an email advising that they needed to increase the rental cost by $800 or they can find us another unit. Nothing similar to our original rental or the price point. No thank you VRP...I know a scam when I see one. Still waiting on refund from this company. Not holding my breath on that one. Needless to say, I believe this company is completely fraudulent. Will be filing complaint with Florida Division of Consumer Affairs for obvious bait and switch scam and deposit has not yet been refunded. PS, per their rental agreement, they have a clause to increase the price at anytime even after agreement is signed. I can easily see them waiting until a day before your much anticipated vacation to increase your rental costs thinking they have you locked in and make a quick profit. Buyer beware!

I've read some terrible reviews. And to be honest makes me sad. We've had a very positive experience. We booked with them last year and due to the hurricane they switched us to gatlinburg and at last minute we switched back to panama. We got our refund and were able to go to panama. They were fantastic and the costumer service was top notch. We had no trouble. Do things happen yes. Get renters insurance so you can get a refund. We have had a great experience. And thank you to linda for the wonderful costumer service
