The food and the friendliness of the staff are what stand out most. Having stayed at may B&B's I've grown to expect a certain level hospitality and Wickwood Inn stands out as one of the best. That being said, the bathroom that was in our room does need some updating/repairs. The bathtub/shower stall is an old fiberglass type that would be found in your typical summer cottage rental but doesn't really belong in an upscale B&B. The bathroom door does not close properly unless you lift it up and force it closed. The bathroom sink does not have a drain stopper built in (it had one but it has been removed) so there is a rubber stopper provided but nothing to prevent your ring or toothpaste cap from falling into the drain. The garbage can is outside the bathroom and is one that has a metal lid that requires removal to use the can. A step-on can or an open can would be an improvement. I know it seems like I'm going on and on but honestly these issue could be remedied easily and then it wouldn't seem like it was overpriced. Everything else was great!

The Wickwood Inn is a gorgeous and charming hotel! My other half and I thoroughly enjoyed our stays at there. Both the rooms and suites are so beautifully decorated, the innkeepers are always so friendly plus truly helpful and don’t get me started on the food!! I am craving a tasty popover at this very moment. They even offer delicious things to eat throughout the day and evening, too. If you are a foodie and like to cook, like us, it is perfect that sometimes you can find a recipe for what you’ve eaten at the Inn on their website blogs. Plus, they sell Silver Palate Cookbooks – the inn is owned by the author and her husband. This is our favorite place to stay (and eat) when we are in Saugatuck, for sure!

Love, love, love this B&B. Amazing staff, more than amazing breakfast and afternoon social spread for the guest. Just an awesome experience from booking to leaving. Truly worth it.

Wickwood is the perfect place for a getaway. We've stayed in four of the rooms and they are all beautiful and tastefully themed. The bathroom is well stocked with wonderful products and I love the extra touch of the black 'make-up' embroidered washcloth. The common areas are comfortable and just as beautiful as the bedrooms. If food is your thing, then you must stay here...it's foodie heaven! Wonderful evening Hors d'oeuvres/wine and the most delicious breakfast. It's such a delight to see what treats (bite size sweets) are under the cloche in the afternoon and evening - or you can always grab a piece of fresh fruit (I'll take the sweets, thank you very much!). The staff is gracious and charming -- they go above and beyond in making you feel comfortable and well taken care of. We've enjoyed our stays at Wickwood for the past seven years and plan to continue the tradition.

The best word to use to describe the Wickwood Inn is, "quaint." From the small, but comfortable rooms, to the decorations everywhere, to the friendly staff, the amazing food and the location (walking distance to pretty much anywhere you wanted to go)...everything was great. Except the bed. The only reason I'm not giving this five stars because the bed, which is an integral part of any lodging stay, was more like a trampoline than a bed. It was far too bouncy. There are few times during the night where I felt I needed to hold on as my wife was readjusting to avoid being bounced off the other side of the bed.
