The Duneland Beach is a cozy and convenient place to stay if you're looking for a short walk to the beach and easy access to Michigan City. The staff were very accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. We did have trouble with the jacuzzi but they moved our room to one they say worked better. Only issue with it was they have the cold hot water faucets backwards so we spent 10 min waiting for hot water till we found that out as they said it takes a while for the hot water. And they have a green light outside the window that lights up the whole room at night just couldn’t get to sleep with the glare. When we did finally sleep and we got up and went to make coffee in the coffeemaker out in the hallway they didn’t have any filters. Being the only guest that night we couldn’t ask for any as they were gone for the night.

The food was amazing as it always is there. I was extremely disappointed with the service. No one was attentive and we were left waiting majority of the time without any explanation or apology.

OMG… We’ve eaten here many times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere – except this time. I tried my favorite Irish dish the Shepherd’s Pie last night. It looked like a bowl of ground-up Alpo with a couple scoops of mashed potatoes plopped on top. Not only was the presentation awful, the potatoes weren’t browned and I couldn’t even taste the vegetables… what a disappointment! My wife ordered the fish and chips and reported that some portions were soggy. They ran out of the featured soup at only 5:45 PM. The salads were good and desserts still great. Our waitress informed us the new chef was from the casino and he or she completely changed the menu. It's still a cozy place with great ambiance but I no longer trust the menu.

The food at the restaurant is great, but the service needs a lot of help.

Beautiful spot for a quiet dinner. Food is not spectacular, but in this setting good food is quite good enough.
