Dunes Inn Michigan City Hotel

Front desk shared with me that they run a criminal record check on everyone that checks in. Rooms are a little dirty but the rate is very low so expected. I didn't think it was really as bad as some of the reviews say, but I'm not that picky. It's kind of hidden but it's one of the first hotels off the highway. Delve a little deeper and there's better hotels nearby.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!W A R N I N G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not less than a year ago I stayed at this establishment crossing the country. My girlfriend, friend, and I stopped here as we were headed to the west coast from the east. We needed something for 18 year olds and we paid somewhere around 60 a room for a night at about 2 am (should have known). Might I add this is literally the real life envision of the motel out of Breaking Bad. I wasn't surprised to find a bathroom without toilet paper, towels, stained walls, or even trash littering the outside. What i was shocked to find out after about a month after this trip. That my friend who took one of the two beds in this apartment brought home BED BUGS from this establishment. Had me and my girlfriend chose that bed, we would have gotten them instead.(it was pretty random we just grabbed the one closest to the door)I warn you and anyone reading whatever you do, DO NOT STAY HERE FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY THIS PLACE IS NOT FIT TO BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. HEED THE WARNING OR SUFFER THE FATE MY FRIEND DID. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!!! Keep in mind I would literally be selecting 0 stars if that was an option, negative digits if that was even possible.

I am Keven Putnam this place is great and everyone is really nice here ☺. I have been living here for over 3 year's now since my Mother and my Aunt passed away. Mr. Woody and all the Dune's Inn Staff you all are the Very Best Welcome Back Mr. Don ☺. I highly recommend staying here, the Dune's Inn is a great place to stay 😊 . Mr. Butcher Great Review as well and Mr. Hari Patel Owner great job 5 star's all the way 🤗. Don my Father like's it that you are nice you me, Thank You.

Room needs updating....beds needs new mattress....room have odor... But it was a peaceful quiet night

Very low rate motel. Hard to get to from frontage road. No amenities. Pretty much just a spot to stop and sleep.
