Khomeesdrif Camping Site

Khomeesdrif is hands-down one of my favorite new camping spots. Situated just before Riversonderend, on a river, it is on a beautiful farm with the warmest, friendliest owners. There are kayaks, rubber tunes and all kinds of water gear for you to use. The communal area is thoughtful and well designed. I will definitely be back. Restrooms: Are neat and spacious. Dog-friendliness: It's dog friendly, so expect to find other dogs roaming freely around the campsite.

If you are looking to get away from your every day life, this is the place to go. No electricity signal is on and off. It is peaceful and at night you can see the stars like you have never seen them before.

If you want to kick back & forget about work, etc. Khomeesdrif is the spot - there was limited mobile phone reception. For accommodation, they have a fixed, wooden cabin with plans to add at least 2 more cabins as well as campsites on grass, suitable for both caravans & tents. 1. Canoes are available to take out on the river 2. Wood & ice are for sale on-site 3. Fishermen won’t be disappointed Don’t forget mozzy repellent during the spring & summer months Rykie & Cansius owners were the sweetest & most friendly hosts.

Great get away from busy city life... Big play park area for kids... has volleyball net... netball hoop... massive grass area for soccer Rugby or cricket... Great for swimming in river... with canoe and paddle boat... but kids must be accompanied. Has no electricity and real phone connection so you really feel away from "life"... but cellphone signal is 2 mins drive away for a call or check up on messages

What a great place. No power and cell phone reception. Ablutions is tidy and clear. All bathrooms are unisex. Large grassed area with plots. Some plots with trees don't have grass. Plot size is good and some have fire pits. Best plots are the to closest to the boma on the river. Free use of kayaks on a large river swimming area. The river was slow flowing when we were there in November 2020, thanks to the good rain we had.

We had the most wonderful time at Khomeesdrif! Easy access to the river with kayaks available to have fun on the water. The ablutions are very comfortable and most of the time clean. Friendly owners that made us feel very welcome. Will recommend this gem to all our friends.

Lovely campsite! Super relaxing. Owners were super helpful while I was booking. Attentive towards all our needs and awesome that it is pet friendly camp. Perfect to go away on your own or with a family. We were on campsite A20/A21/A22

Great to swim and row in the river. Great fun for the whole family. No electricity at camp sites. Cleaning of the camp site and facilities need to improve alot. Rules are not being enforced and other campers making a noise are not addressed which can be a disturbance for others.

Rykie and her team did a wonderful job of helping kit out the venue for our hand-fasting ceremony. They even went above and beyond to provide extra amenities to make our weekend even more special. We had such an amazing weekend with our friends and family and everything went off without a hitch. We look forward to returning again :
