Sanddrif, Dwarsrivier, Cederberg

My father and I really enjoy going on trips throughout the Cederberg, and we almost always camp at Sanddrif. The site itself is quite serene and picturesque. The bathrooms are also really nice, and there are plenty of hiking trails around.

Great place. Unfortunately the hot water showers are not pressurized and shower water flow is erratic. Sadly there are no emergency lights or candles when Power outages occur

The campsite looks lovely and green and full of people. We didn't stay at the campsite as it was fully booked, but did an overnight hike to Wolfberg Arch. After paying R220 each for the overnight permit we were charged R100 per person to drive the car though the campsite, leave the campsite and park at the start of the wolfberg hike. We knew that we would have to pay sanddrift to park the vehicle but R100 per person to be on the mountain all night and day seems a bit ridiculous.

Absolutely love this place! There's so much to do and see. I definitely recommend this place if you are super adventurous and love the outdoors. It's an amazing way to escape from the city. Restrooms: Restrooms are always clean and there is hot water for showers.

Ideal basecamp for visiting Kromrivier, Stadsaal caves, Truitjieskraal and various other attractions. Very neat camping sites next to the river stream. Ablution block is close by, very neat and serviced daily. There's a little shop at the Dwarsrivier office, with wifi. Restrooms: Very neat and serviced daily

Lovely stay, great hike. Pretty scenery and a nice ice cold river. Houses aswell as camping spots.

No emergency lights for power outages otherwise a fantastic place to visit. The showers are not a pressurized system

The western ablutions very urgently need some new ambitions. Was also blocked up when busy... But excellent otherwise, a must see!!Rooms: 4/5

Any of the planet cottages are lovely. They are very clean and well equipped with the underfloor heating and indoor braai that kept the cold out. We will return.Rooms: 5/5
