Description

The resort is 22km North of Clanwilliam on the Cape to Namibia N7 Route. We love children. The ideal family holiday destination, but also excellent as a stopover to and from Namibia.
The resort also boasts a convenience store, heated outdoor pool, swings and a trampoline to keep little ones entertained.
All Chalets have air-conditioning. The rooms of the Luxury Caravan Stands (K7-K10), where a double room is included in the Camping Stand, are also air-conditioned. Ideal to bring the extended family along. All camping sites are fully lawned and have electrical points. Most have built in braais, or braai facilities available. Three exclusive stone cottages, and newly released Waterfront House for 9 adults.

Good service when booking. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The most amazing camp site facilities, it's like you are camping but still have the convenience of home. Private camp sites have their own ablutions and kitchen area with plug points, absolutely perfect. Luxury camps are similar but just ''camping'' in one room. This is ideal for a family of 4. The water was always hot. The cottages have a rustic feel, very detailed and convenient It has a nice swimming pool and a few loungers. The dam water was super refreshing to take a dip in. It allows for various water activities, so if you have a jet ski, a boat or kayak, be sure to bring it along. There are kayaks and a barge for hire - kindly refer to the company's website for more information on the T's & C's. The only negative was, the weekend was too short. Definitely going back for a longer period. Kudos Rondeberg.
Great place for a few days. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Kids can run around and place with their friends. Place to go hike for the while family. If you forgot something you can do a quick drive to super Spar in Clanwilliam. The stone cottages are fun and rustic. The camping sites was not used by us but our friends enjoyed it. Kayaking is great fun for the kids. There were some boats on the dam and some people were skiing. We tried to fish but had no luck as the kayaks and the boats likely kept the fish away. The chalets were also very modern. Water was clean and the kids could swim in the dam. We visited just after a major storm so the pool water was muddy. The team on site was working hard to clean it. It is just bad luck. The pool is next to stone cottage no3. Kids however preferred the dam as it was much more fun. The younger kids did some rock climbing near the dam. Loads of fun. We felt very safe and comfortable as there were no unwanted visitors. Well maintained rooms, with clean bedding and towels. Microwaves and kettles are also provided. Stone cottage 3 had the tree in the bathroom so had an outside feel but with the privacy. If you are shy perhaps not for you. The kitchen was well equipped and stone cottage 3 had a small stove as well. We did not have to use the aircon due to the weather being low 20 c. Phone signal not that great but you have wifi in the chalets and the cottages. Signal is lost from time to time but good to unplug for all the data overflow. Would recommend this place for families and groups. Just book in advance to ensure you are not disappointed. Rooms: Great for the outdoors feeling in the stone cottages
Awesome place on the Bulshoek Dam. Great for families and couples. We stayed in Stone Cottage 1. My only 2 gripes was that the bed was too soft and the pillows not substantial enough to support my back, so I would advise to at least take your own pillows along. Added bonus: we got visited by 3 semi-feral cats begging for food. Very cute tailless cats.
If like me you are not a regular camper, then try their luxury camp sites. It has a bedroom with a double bed and 2 singles, as well as a kitchenette and your own bathroom. Lovely to float on the dam or just to relax around a fire. Rooms: The luxury camp sites have an airconditioned room with a double bed and 2 singles. Also stayed in Stone Cottage no.3 where you have a huge tree in your bathroom

Amazing experience. Clean and tidy, sites nice and big. Only wish shop on-site had more to offer esp during peak season. Restrooms: Clean and tidy. Did run out of toilet paper some days but overall well maintained.
