Acapulco Mexican Restaurant

Loved this place. Last night I did not. We were a party of 11 celebrating a birthday. Everyone got their food which came up rather quickly, which was nice, but me. The server came to the table and asked if everyone had everything, like she was done serving. I looked at her and asked about my food. She seem surprised and asked what I had. I reminded her what I had ordered, 5 minutes later she came back with my order which was half right. She didn't bring my refried beans. I waited another 4 minutes to get her attention, and asked where they were, she seem surprised again. Finally 10 minutes later, I got them. By this time my party were almost done eating. The worse experience was my Son found a big metal bristle off a metal grill cleaning brush in my Grandson's, children's meal. In his French fries. How dangerous is that. He's only 5. Good catch on my Son's part. That could of been a horrible situation. The owner or manager offered to make him a new meal. I don't think we can go back. The owner seems like a nice guy.

I called to place an order to go and told the woman on the phone that I needed NO sour cream and guacamole on one order of fajitas. Went and picked up the food and went back home. Sure enough both of my fajitas had sour cream and guacamole on them. Called and discussed the problem on the phone and said I needed to come back for the correct order. They said it would be ready by the time I got there. I arrived 10 minutes later and they had no clue what happened and the order wasn't even started. I ended up sitting there for another 15 minutes so they could remake my fajitas. By this time, I'm becoming quite frustrated so I spoke with two different managers and they simply just said they were replacing the food and walked away. Once the food was done, they came out with 2 bags and went through and said everything is separated. I got back home again for the 2nd time and started making the fajitas, sure enough they forgot the cheese. I won't return to this location.

The deep fried tacos were amazing. I go there just to get those on Taco Tuesday's. The food is very authentic. The restaurant is very clean and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need while you are there. It was a very quiet atmosphere. Our wait time was short even though they were fairly busy too.

Both times that we have been to Acapulco we have had great service with excellent food, and the food is a lot. You will definitely not leave hungry.

I requested that they leave off a few items on my entree because of dietary restrictions, but I had to send back my dish twice before it was done correctly. I will try it again though because it is a friendly place with good food.
