My daughter's dog broke out of her bathroom window. We went here because there was a dog turned in that fit her description. While the dog turned out to not be my daughters the staff here assisted us with information that led to us finding my daughters dog within an hours time. It was a miracle for us! The staff are very compassionate and empathetic. Thank you so much to everyone for your help in finding Luna.

Staff is EXTREMELY helpful, and seem to actually care about you, and the animals under their charge. I went back today for some paperwork and brought my dog that I adopted from them 5 months ago. They remembered him immediately and were so excited to see him. Even got photos. Excellent place, and great people!!

I have never been to a cleaner, better maintained shelter. The animals are so well taken care of and exercised. The staff is amazing, kind and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about this place!

If I could give 0 stars I would! My boyfriend recently brought his dog in to be neutered. He chose the SPCA originally because the surgery cost was inexpensive compared to getting it done at a vets office. I wish he would have spent the extra money and got it done correctly at a vets office instead! He ended up spending hundreds of extra dollars, even more than the original vets price due to a botched surgery complication. Loki, his dog, had an extremely swollen scrotum after the surgery which we had hoped would heal within the next few days. After a few days, Loki did not heal but began to get progressively worse. He was dripping blood from his incision on his scrotum and his entire penis sheath was swollen to the size of a softball. We brought him into a vets office and they gave us a different type of antibiotics and hoped that would help. Well, the next day he became very lethargic and depressed and wouldn't not eat any food. Loki is a boxer and is naturally very energetic so this was extremely unusual and we became extra concerned when he started shaking. We took him back into the vets because not only was he shaking, his entire left leg was swollen and he developed a huge open wound on the outside of his body near the incision that leaked blood and infected pus. The vet surgeon said this was the worst neuter complication she has ever seen. Loki was in so much pain he did not want to put any pressure on his leg or eat and he has become so skinny from not eating you can see his ribcage. We had to ice him and keep a towel on him for days to bring the swelling down and try to stop the leaking. A simple surgery that should have taken a day to heal took Loki two weeks to heal and caused him so much pain and suffering. The worst part is, is that the SPCA is refusing to cover any costs from the surgery or even all the vets visits we had to go to due to their botched surgery complications saying there is no proof their surgery did this to Loki. If Loki never got neutered at the SPCA, he would have never gotten this serious infection that caused his entire lower half of his body to swell up. I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone! You would not actually be saving money by going to the SPCA, you'd have to pay hundreds of dollars more just to take care of the surgical complications!
