Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter

THANK YOU to all the honest, EXPERIENCED reviewers. Was considering volunteering at this shelter, now I won't bother wasting my time. You've saved me much aggravation ! Thank You !!! Oh one more thing - we all know it's friends & family padding these reviews. For every one star review there's 6-10 five star reviews, but without comments. This isn't too difficult to figure out .........

These dogs r awesome. I want one to adopt and hope I hear soon. Don't want to wait for months. These baby's need loving homes now. Not later. I'm also a groomer and take care of my kids. Been to adoption agencies before and don't get it. These babies need homes and the staff doesn't comply in a timely Matter and the dogs r left in cages for months until they decide what their doing. It's not fair. The staff has to get with the program and get these babies in the right homes. Very frustrating. That's why people go to breeders for their dogs. It's instantly done and happily ever after. Shelters need to comply with the same process.

My Husband and I recently visited this shelter.We actually were very impressed with the shelter and friendliness of staff.Although the fellow we were looking at was not the right fit,we would love to adopt here.We actually have an application on file,hoping that special one comes along.We did not smell ANY odors,everything was clean.Nice greet the pet area.Plenty of time given to see pet and have all questions answeared.While the pets are waiting for that special family,we feel confident that they are at a nice good place and will be cared for properly.I truly wish all the shelters were up to this standard!.....Tks.

Great place if you're looking for a pet. Lots of variety. Great volunteer opportunities.
