On the whole, I am a pretty happy customer of Best Buy 23rd Street! It's located in a great area, easy to get to by bus or train or even walk (when shopping elsewhere).
Customer service gets an A- which means almost all employees I have come into contact with were happy to help, showed they knew their stuff, and even went beyond expectations in at least one occasion where I was absolutely impressed with dedication to helping the customer (me!).
The store is very large & boasts everything imaginable, Best Buys do, with products available on the spot, if you call ahead. It could be cleaner but there is such high traffic you have to forgive them.
It's a pretty cool place to get your needs met!

Went to purchase a cell phone advertised and on display, it wasn't in stock so I had to settle for a different phone. After choosing the phone the sales rep told me I can also get it in gold as the phone I was replacing was gold. So I agreed and told the rep is take the particular model in gold. I went and paid for the phone. I needed to use the phone because my old phone was damaged and couldn't be used. On opening the box I realize that the rep gave me the wrong color phone. I didn't even leave the cash register with the product and he then proceeded to tell me if I want the color I asked for I would need to pay an additional $35 restocking fee.... For his screw up. In future I will go somewhere else where I get better service.

I like that the locations are in convenient areas throughout NYC and the spaces are big inside but that's about it. The customer service isn't as strong as it could be. Usually you have to run around to find someone to help you find something. And when you finally get to a customer service rep, they don't seem that knowledgeable or interested in being there. This has happened more than once to me at multiple locations.
I think Lincoln center might be slightly better but not by far.
There are always good deals during Black Friday but a small tip, go there on Thursday for the same specials and way less lines.

I went to this store during my lunch break and left with time to spare. Raymond was able to help me make a decision on a work laptop and stayed well within my budget. He knew which would work best for the "log me in" program I use and which wouldn't be too heavy in my bag. His knowledge of their inventory was impressive. I will definitely come back if I am ever in need for more electronics!

I've try to report that my phone may have been hack and also it was on the channel 7 evening news on april 30, 2018 reported by Sade, the person that was helping me was very dismissive. He does not even know about the news and he made me feel he can't be bother. not very helpful!!! I told him that I use this phone for banking and very concern about my password being taken. He ignored me and asked the Asian guy behind me as if we're together. not all Asian travels together. by the way, it so happen the guy behind me is Asian. The tech definitely needs to go through some sensitive training. sad to say, I left Samsung 837 without being help.
