This restaurant is very lively, and the sangria is delicious and on the happy hour menu. The "Nacho Mama's Nachos" are big enough for two, but I was super hungry and made a good dent in them. I am a vegetarian and the vegetables on these nachos ARE DELICIOUS. A nice place to stop in for a fairly quick bite to eat when you are in Chicago, very casual and youthful.

The decor inside is pretty awesome but it's loud with the music and chatter. The food was pretty good but the Al Pastor was kind of oily so I think I'd try the nachos or platters instead.
Edit: 3 months later and my friends and I have decided to never go back. We always went after work and (before it got popular) we could sit down without waiting.
During our last visit, we had to wait for the entire party to arrive and then we still had to wait 15 minutes while staring at the two large tables that were "reserved".
Why are you able to make reservations at a taco pub?!.....
We think something was up with their management that night because there was only one server for the whole area. We were never given water. When I asked if we could have water, the runner only gave us one glass.
The other tables around us didn't have any food either. Some had chips but when we all looked around, there wasn't any food for anyone.
Not going back again, especially when we've always had to yell over the loud music to talk to each other. I'll miss the food and the strong margaritas.

First time going today and seriously the best tacos and margaritas in town! If you want real margaritas with fresh squeezed lime and non of that mix stuff..this is the place in downtown Chicago to get em! Tacos were delicious! Our server David was super nice and attentive!

Menu is very light, less than 15 meal options. You're seated drink order taken and chips and salsa brought out. Margaritas are very strong! (Highly recommend) the portion size of the food options is rather small (like 2 street tacos lightly filled) most of the food is insanely spicy. Not necessarily bad things but worth mentioning. It's clear this place is more for a party type, definitely not intimate. Dark lighting and extremely loud music you have to shout to be heard by the person right next to you. Definitely worth the visit and fairly priced food in the city.

The food here was pretty good and it was affordable. Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations and was actually expensive.
When the server brought our table drinks, they brought everyone else's but mine. It was about 10 minutes before it finally arrived. Was my drink complicated? It was a Mexican Coke in the bottle.
Our food arrived quickly considering there was 7 of us. Our bill arrived much later and is where the real trouble began.
Apparently they are unable to split a bill (the only restaurant I've ever heard this occurring at) so each of us at the table started paying a portion using a mixture of cash and card. When you paid with card, the receipt given to you listed the amount remaining on the bill. Those of us who paid with cash never got receipts, so we were surprised when the final person was supposed to pay $75 (when it should have been $44). We had to wait quite some time to finally flag down our server to point out the problem. He took our cash, gave us back our change, but never added it to the total bill. The numbers still did not add up quite right, but at that point we just took it as a loss and left.
