The Red Lion Lincoln Square

The Red Lion has a decent beer selection, with each beer about $6 and the cheapest entre is the $11 burger with thick cut british chips. I wanted to like the RedLion, but in actuality it is a kitchy English themed pub. Service was stretched a little thin, menu prices were perticularlly high for British food that wasn't anything to write home about.

Standard Chicago neighborhood bar. This is near a friend’s house and we stopped in for a quick bite. Fun for a quick gathering of friends over drinks but not something I will plan to come back for. But the beer was cold and that counts for something!

This neighborhood British pub is as authentic as they come. The food and drinks will make you feel like you crossed the pond.

An English bar, with a nice, laid-back environment and reasonable prices. Great for having a conversation over drinks. The service is pleasant and efficient. Highly recommend The Red Lion on a date or with a group of friends.

Good English-style pub; we were there in a large group, about 30 people; they weren't used to large groups at one time like this as they didn't have enough staff, but it was ok. Only 2 beers on draft, but otherwise a good place. Food was edible, but not expertly made: shepherds our had powdered mashed potatoes and they used chunks of overcooked hamburger in it, not beef.
