Burgers, beer, scotch egg and pretzel were all great!
We had amazing service. They were booked solid with reservations, so we decided to just walk in. They don't have any tables that aren't reserved. The host was very kind and said there were a couple chairs upstairs open and he'd take us to them while we waited on 3 bar seats to open. These chairs were filled up by time we got there, so he grabbed us a beer menu and gave us a good place to stand. He also informed the bartenders at both bars that we needed 3 seats when they opened. As luck would have it, a reservation opened up and we were able to get a table.

Cozy and delightful restaurant with an expansive selection of beer and inspired food options. I always start with the mustard glazed pretzel with Welsh rarebit (cheese sauce) which is perfectly tangy and savory.
Their brown bread makes a perfect base for the Ploughman's plate with the wide selection of meat, cheese, pickled veggies, egg and a light Horseradish sauce. Great spot to come for dinner before hitting a movie across the street

Dark and cozy. Good date spot. Can be a little to dark though when you're looking at the menu. My server was awesome, but it was a little overwhelming with information. Not really a con, yet worth noting. Would suggest this to anyone who'd looking for a nice date night.

My overall favorite burger spot. Whether you keep it simple, or add an egg, your taste buds will thank you graciously. Their house pickles feature seasonal ingredients, so its always a nice surprise to see what they add next. That crafty beer selection!
Hot tip: Tuesday night gets you a burger, and paired whiskey shot and beer. Best $18.00 you'll spend that evening.

With a cozy atmosphere that I love, low lighting and dark woods, Owen & Engine is just as good at the bar (much less of a wait, but does not detract from the experience) than at a booth or table. The drink specials are not only cleverly named (please give me a Pimm's cocktail drink called The Victorian any day), but delicious. Their finger foods are very tasty and not badly priced - but don't go if you're looking for cheap fare or drinks.
