Pleasant House Pub

Come for the steak and ale pie and mushroom and kale pies and pasties. Combined with a salad to share and some mint peas and you have a good meal. Other options include Scotch eggs and good pub food. The beers on tap are more British in that they offer some ales that are not extremely hopped. Take a pass on dessert and try their home made Ginger fizz. Enjoy!

Finally gotta try their fish and chips! The best fish fry ever! So yummy! The chips weren't very fresh though. I really liked the chicken pie with a hint of curry flavor. They had another special for fried curry chicken with rice and naan, I hope I can try that next time. The fruit trifle was very good! It is not overly sweet at all even with all the whipped cream on top. They are freshly whipped!! They have a great selection of beer (draft and can) and cocktails. Coffee sounds good too. Really gotta go back for more things. I was a bit sad to find out that they don't actually sell fresh baked bread anymore :(

Stopped by the pub for a quick lunch It was a block or 2 away from where we had a meeting. The outside made it look on the small side. However, that was not the case, there was plenty if seating space. I had the Beef and Ale Pie. It was quite tasty. The atmosphere was different The staff was friendly and helpful.

Adorable decor, delicious food, friendly staff. They have some daily specials (eg. Thursdays are new Royal Pie varieties). They accept credit cards. There's a patio. No parking lot or garage but there's street parking.

Love this place, wish we lived closer. Fantastic steak and ale pie, as good as the best I have had in the UK. Brother had the curry special and loved it as well. First time having a Craigie's cider, won't be my last! I believe they used to have an excellent chicken pasty (or some kind of non-spicy pasty), I'd love to see that back on the menu.
