Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory

Great place to go if you are really craving ice cream while walking around the Brooklyn bridge park. Its a cash only and they make their own ice cream, it's homemade and delicious.

Over the years, I've tried coming here a good number of times and have never had good service. Today warranted this rating and review as I've given this place plenty of opportunities to keep from getting here. I walk in, no one is at the counter (as usual). But there was a lazy employee (I'd find out later) who I thought was a customer sitting and playing on his phone and not serving me. After waiting what seemed like 15 mins, I decide to leave when an older lady walks in and when I look from outside out of curiosity I see that guy pop right up without the lady having to ask and he's serving her along with another employee that must've been hiding in the shadows. Now let's talk about the ice cream I've had here the few times some lazy unprofessional employee has actually served me. It's very generic tasting. I never see anyone there and yet most of their tubs are half full which leads me to believe they serve an old product. Their cones are good when fresh but as good as anything can be when stale. Overall I will remember never to come in here and never suggest it as a place in North Brooklyn for ice cream. When I write a review, I'm a fan of two things, service and consistency. When those are lacking, I will not write a good review. As a matter of fact, it would prompt me to warn others so they don't have a bad experience and waste their time and money on inferior, overpriced products and or service like Brooklyn Ice cream factory delivers.

I really wish I could buy this type of ice cream somewhere closer to home or Trade Fair. The ice cream has the best flavor of any ive tried ever before. Better than cheaply mass produced bryers and others alike. This is a great place to stop by at any time of the year for me.

Walked in about an hr ago to a pretty vacant spot except for a man asleep at a table. Payed no mind as we decided on what to order. Said,"Hello" to try to politely wake him up and even fake coughed so we could place an order which seemed to only put him further into a trance. Frustrated we were getting ready to leave when a woman walked in as we were walking out. I thought surely he wouldn't, surely he couldn't get up for her when we were just there waiting on him to wake up from his nap. Looked in to my amazement to see sleeping beauty was ready to work. I can't rate the product but based on the service it's not worth the effort or a second though. I've rarely felt such anger as I can't help but wonder was this perhaps an act of prejudice or merely outright laziness.

I took vanilla chocolate chunks . It was good but price is a little bit overestimated $4.75+$2 for waffle corn.
