Budget Truck Rental

Stay away from that place ! If I could give it negative stars, it would be right on it. I was on my way to pick up a truck from them, I live about 45 minutes away and wanted a one way rental, to save time from that location to another. On my way there, a driver hit my car, so I had to deal with the accident and gave a courtesy call, that I was going to be there later, and to hold the truck for me. Well, if you want the crappiest Customer Service, just go there and see that ignorant man, he will "take care of you". Upon asking him, whom I was speaking with, he hung up on me. I was already having a hell of a morning, after I had planned for this day four months prior, so this did not do any justice. I would have understood, if I was rude, but I wasn't. When I got there, of course, I saw him, said what happened, of course he did not stand up for his mistake and plainly ignored it, like nothing happened. I rented in Washington State over four and a half years ago, in Lakewood, but the guy was nice there and they wore uniforms at their business, compared to this guy, who was too busy going outside, staring at a car and going through his cell phone the whole time we were there. I wanted to give Budget a second chance, because the first time, I never got to see my deposit back, even though I tried, and gave up after a while . Calling the toll free number and telling them what happened does not help- I don't need an apology, I need people who have manners, they are supposed to be the face of the business, but this face was one you don't want to even meet in person or via phone. I will never rent from them again ! I am going to stick with Penske and Enterprise again, as usual ! They have lost their business and the benefit of the doubt that I had given them a second chance for good ! If you read this, Mr. Budget guy, go and learn some manners, or don't work there !

For starters, your website allowed me to reserve a truck only to get there and be told, they have no trucks available. This happened at the hyattsville location as well, the same day. Fine. My husband just checked his credit card statement and saw that he was charged a "No show" fee of $50! The Hyattsville location charged my card the same with no service. No clue how you charge anyone any kind of fee when there were no trucks on arrival. This time when I called customer care the gentleman was able to do the refund back to my husband's card without hassle. So we were charged $50 no show fees with this company, from 2 different locations after reserving our trucks AND showing up. Check your statements people. Will be sure to go elsewhere next time.

April 2014 Review: The BEST Truck rental in all of DC, MD,VA! I have rented from here twice already and both experiences were enjoyable! The service I received was just as rewarding this year, as it was when I moved the around this same time last year! I reserved a 16' online the night before at a discounted rate. I arrived the next morning about 2-3 hours after reservation time and still received Excellent Customer Service! Professional as well as personable and willing to go the extra mile to appease the customers needs.

I've rented with budget twice and had a good experience both times, but this particular location had terrible customer service.
