My first Maryland State Park since doing the photographer thing. Maryland doesn't have a passport system yet. Park is nice and quiet, even though there are other visitors to the park. There are waysides and markers that tell the Historical features of the park and the surrounding areas. There is a waterless comfort Facility for park patrons as well as Handicap Parking Lot. The gateway signage is missing.

The view is so peaceful and as an added bonus the Penn Alps village and restaurants are there. I recommend visiting the bird carved. Amazing birds.

Beautiful area with a rich history. Visit the artisan village, the great restaurants with lots of unique shopping opportunities.

Good trout fishing. Catch and release. Delayed harvest. Artificial’s only. Historic area. Just off of route 68.
