New Germany State Park

New Germany state park is a good destination for people that do not like challenging hikes: there is ample opportunity for leisurely walks but the total hiking trails are more useful for cross country skiing than they are for hiking. There are also very nice cabins for spending the night. We were in cabin 11 and there was plenty of room to sleep our family of nine people. The cooking facilities were really clean. The staff of the park is very helpful. I would highly recommend this part for a family weekend away.

Excellent place for adventures. Very quite and peaceful for walks, hikes, trail biking and even taking pictures. Best season to visit is from around March to October to enjoy the full green and wild nature. Only bothering thing is the lack of trash cans throughout the park.

We have our Family and Friends Reunion there and we love it! We even celebrated our 25th Anniversary there by renewing our vows. We even got my parents to renew their vows for their 50th Anniversary. The place is just beautiful.

Nice little lake with Sandy Beach and roped in area for swimming. Small play set for kids. Canoes and paddle boat too. The trail we walked is nicely maintained and shaded. Good for people not used to hiking far or small children. Great camp ground very clean.

Its a good place to take the family if your out side people
