Rocky Gap State Park

I love this campground. It holds such happy memories from many years of camping. The only thing that needs work is the cleanliness of the bathhouses. Whomever is in charge of keeping them clean was NOT doing a good job. (Ironwood loop)

Rocky Gap State Park is great if you want to gamble. But if you just want to chill, other locations might be a better choice. I used to come here every year for my anniversary before the casino was built. But now, not so much. The natural ambiance has left the place. But I understand, it has become a financial boon for the area.

Great park with a beautiful setting in the mountains. Two swimming areas in The lake. Wonderful trails. Camping. Ampethiater, huge fields, plenty of parking. It's just too bad that the state of Maryland charges for entry to their state parks. But if you stay at the resort next door you can use the park at no cost.

Always a good time...even when I lose! First time playing table games.. Mississippi Stud. The dealer was really friendly and helpful. He knew it was our first time playing the game and he guided us through everything. The other players at the table were nice, too. The staff at Rocky Gap has always been pleasant. The casino is clean and comfortable. There is a smoking section outside, which has slot games. It is heated during the winter months.

Best state park in maryland. Some sites are large and others are small. Have 16x12 tent with a small trailer and it fit for the site I picked. Others wouldn't.
