Colonial Cottage

Come here if you enjoy a typical home cooked meal. The prices are the best in the area, and Colonial Cottage is known for their fried chicken (you'll need to allow a little extra time for your order because the fried chicken is made when you order). A "mom and pop" restaurant not a "food-chain" restaurant. Recommended by most locals this includes my family.

Good old fashioned comfort food restaurant. Get some real fried chicken - not some previously frozen fast food style tenders. Then also have all you can eat fried chicken nights - check with your server. They do things the old way here, and there is something to say about that. My visit here was great. Prompt, tasty and friendly. What more could you ask for? They even have a veggie burger for those who abstain from meat and/or dairy. Come check it out.

The food is average. The only thing I have ordered and LOVED is the goetta burger. They do have delicious goetta. The staff are always very friendly. I like that its typically the same people working and they always are super nice. Parking is somewhat difficult if they are busy.

This place is hit-or-miss. Ordered a breaded pork chop that was supposed to come with cream gravy, and it didn't. Asked for corn bread, and when the food arrived (about 30 m minutes later), server said they're out of corn bread, so as a bonus she gave me 2 rolls. Really? Chop was great. When she pulled the cornbread thing, I didn't even bother to remind her about the cream gravy. It's on the menu. That's how the chop should be played. I have no issue with how long the food too to arrive. They were busy. No problems with that. Hit-or-miss.
