Mokka and the Sunset Bar and Grill

I was in Newport last night. Gosh when I was a kid being a Newport would have meant you're going to stripper bars on Monmouth. But it is a Hopping play today! Stopped by mokka on the way to and from The Syndicate. The bartender was really polite and helpful. And the atmosphere was Lively and friendly. Decor was very clean and bright, yet warm. Lots of windows so you can look out and see what's going on outside. We were lucky to view the young prom-goers walking down the street to their after prom location. Gorgeous billowy gowns of satin and lace in all styles and shapes and colors. I didn't get to sample any of their food, but it was a really nice introduction, and I plan on going back to Mokka for dinner sometime soon. My only complaint is that the music was a little too loud later in the night, but the younger people there looked like they're having a good time.

I was impressed with this restaurant. Check my other reviews, I'm not easily impressed at all. The service and family atmosphere at this Kentucky restaurant almost makes you want to move there. They had a Peaches and cream crumb cake. Whaaaat? So dag gone delicious. The food blew me away.

Very quaint little place. My husband and I did enjoy the atmosphere and our server was very friendly. However, the small portions of food we received during breakfast just didn’t fill us up.

They have really good French toast. This is one of the best places in the area to get French toast. The bacon is good a crispy. Nice little place to get breakfast on the weekend and hangout with friends. Has that nice and fun atmosphere to just be there.

Every time I come here, it is always a great experience. Wonderful, down to earth staff makes you feel like family. This is a great brunch location. I love the fritatas and I highly recommend the French toast.
