First Watch - Florence Square

Typically great food and service, but arrived on a Sunday morning with approximately 6-8 parties in the restaurant ahead of us (per my count), and was told 30 minutes. After 15 minutes I was told there were 13 ahead of us. People were coming in and being seated immediately with the no-wait app. Great for them. Horrible for us. Walk-ins literally go to the back of the line with no assurance of timely service. We left.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine. This dish was to come with the home style potatoes. I received my meal. The Hollandaise Sauce was runny. I had four tiny (about 1 inch long) pieces of avocado on the Benedict, and there was enough spinach on it to make a salad. Speaking of which, I received a salad, instead of the potatoes, on my plate. Thinking I had ordered wrong, as I was leaving, I checked the menu. It did show that potatoes were to be on the plate. I have eaten at this particular first watch in Florence, KY (on Mall Road) many times. I have always received what I ordered. The meals have been delicious. I don’t know if you’ve changed menu items, chefs. I do know it is never been as it was when I was in your establishment on May 30, 2018.

Fantastic food, not too expensive, very friendly service. They check all the boxes. Rachel was our waitress and she was awesome!!

I've had better experiences here. We were seated then we ordered. The table next to us sat down about 10 minutes after we ordered. They ordered the millionaire bacon like we did but got before us. The bacon itself was not like the many other times we visited. Disappointed since we usually have a good experience. To top it off the waitress wasn't that engaging either.

The place was clean and the service attentive, but not over-bearing. The chicken salad sandwich was filling and satisfying. The greens were fresh and lightly covered with an oil and vinegar dressing. The brocolli and cheese soup was blended with a touch of seasoning.
