Read the instructions on their (Web 1.0) website, bring the materials they tell you to bring, show up between 2 and 4 on any weekday except Thursday, and you'll be a happy camper. I was in and out in about an hour and it was a very easy experience. I was shocked by the number of people who showed up without requisite materials (the USPS money order, online application confirmation, etc.) and were outraged that they were unable to receive their visa. Just follow the instructions and you're good. TO MAKE IT SUPER CLEAR, AS OF NOV 2017 YOU NEED TO BRING: - 1 2"x2" passport photo - The printed confirmation page of your online application - A printed itinerary for your trip (flights were sufficient for me) - A USPS money order covering any fees associated with your visa ($160 if you're an American). They do not accept checks, cash, or anything except a United State Postal Service money order (very easy to get from any post office).

I went to this consulate to apply for a tourist visa. You must fill out the online application before coming here and have all of the required documents. I went for the opening at 2pm. I arrived at 1230 and there were already 10 people ahead of me. You have to wait outside until they open. Once inside, you go through security, and then give your documents to the receptionist. It took one hour for the visa to be completed and placed on my passport. Same day. Amazing. Also your visa fee must be paid with a money order from the post office. I saw a couple people turned away for not having this. Don't forget to arrive early.

The website does not have a search by key words. The general telephone number is never answered by a person always by a machine. The pieces of information shared are not thorough. There is no information about Consulate Fee waiver based on low income people or exceptional situations. Workers are only able to answer questions related to their specific tasks. No general knowledge of simple and usual procedures of services offered by the Consulate.
