Pleasantly surprised! Staff very attentive, patient, friendly, helpful and courteous. Short wait time. Experience was quite different from my visit years ago.

Worse place ever. After submitting your application and pay your fees you have to wait 1 hour for a receipt. How is this even possible? I have other things to do other than to wait 1 hour just for a receipt.The staff working there have so much attitude there mouth is like pig and have donkey attitude,need to retrain staff.

I was there recently, and the staff was very courteous, I didn't wait very long to get back my receipt, and I was call to uplift my passport

After reading the horrible reviews and listening to the personal testimonies of the absolutely dreadful service and awful mannerisms of this office, I was inclined to expect the worse. I went in prepared to deal with annoyed and angry people. However, I must say I was completely taken aback. It took me about 40 minutes. Everyone was pleasant and you can take your passport photo right there for a cost of $10.00. A great improvement I'd say. However there is always room for improvement so I'd suggest that the microphone systems be fixed because it is hard to hear the clerks in the booth. Other than that I must commend the service. It was a good improvement. For people going to re-new their passports: fill out the form before you go, Pay the $10 and have your photo taken at the consulate since they are likely to not have issues with your photo. Shockingly they now accept credit cards contrary to what the website says. Timing: I'd say go on Wednesday at 12:45. That's the time I went. Whether my good experience was a stroke of luck, I cannot say but ultimately I had a good one and so I have to be fair in my evaluation. Good luck!

The star is negative.I was in nbs office in Guyana in October.My father has an account there and he was unable to travel because of medical reasons.They explained that I needed a few documents notorized and sent back to them to close account.I returned to the US and got all documents ready.For next few days I called consulate about 10 times and finally someone answered and assured me that the person who does house-call will contact me by end of next day.I explained to them that he is in very bad state medically. 3 days later he tragically passed away.Today is 3 weeks since I contacted the consulate and no one contacted me.There is a beautiful message played when you call the consulate about great service provided but with my experience they are the worst.
