Economy Inn Motel

Stayed for a night during bad weather. The owner was very nice, upgraded me to a king room. A little dated, but it was clean and comfortable. Can't beat it for the price. I would stay again.

I stayed here back in September because the plumbing in my house was being fixed. I stayed 1 night with my 4 yr old and newborn baby. I paid $50 for 1 night. I will start off by saying the owner of this hotel is extremely friendly. But my stay was less than pleasant. I walked in my room and instantly noticed an overbearing smell of mold. The carpet was damp as well as the bed and curtains. The bathtub was filled with the previous tenants hair. The water pressure was very low, and could barely flush the toilet. There was a very large dead cockroach on the floor, and an empty condom wrapper along with an empty cigarette pack under the bed. The room was simply outdated and gloomy. But, the worst thing of the entire stay was- there was no cable tv nor even basic television. Every single channel was just a blue screen. I was appalled by this. I paid $50 to stay in a moldy, damp room WITH ABSOLUTELY NO TELEVISION. I was shocked. I didn't mention anything to the man at the desk because it was late and my children were fussy and tired. I just wanted to sleep and go home ASAP. I was also afraid of my newborn baby having a growth of spores develop in his lungs due to the overwhelming scent of mold and dampness in the room. I will say that I am very low maintenance and have stayed in worse motels... But, I am writing this review to complain mostly about charging $50 for 1 night and not even providing basic cable, or any television or form of entertainment whatsoever. This should be criminal. I likely would have had better service at the House of Compassion, and wouldn't have had to spend $50. I am a disabled, single mother of 2. If you ever have to stay somewhere, I would STRONGLY recommend ANYWHERE else to stay than at the Economy inn. It is a scam for the price. And their cleaning staff should be trained better. 10 years ago this motel was very nice. I'd recommend even the Flamingo motel than this place. At least you will get to watch tv.

Clean and nice helpful staff. But the next two times I was to go there they tried to put a wheelchair bound person to go up and downstairs. So had to cancel my reservation.

Made reservations online and wouldn't give us the price that we reserved at. Room was very musty smelling and dirty. Did give us a different room for the online price, that's the only reason uped to a 3. No coffee in the room, or hotel.
