We ended up here no knowing what to expect. The views were breath taking, we went horseback riding and enjoyed lunch in the park. We just wished there were more water activity options. Lake was smaller than we expected. Still a great park for a shady hike with a nice view.

Beautiful and peaceful. Something for everyone. I love camping in the backwoods camping grounds. Seclusion and relaxation!!! Also plenty of public areas with fun for the whole family.

Rude and inconsiderate staff!! If you like hiking , do not go here! It's the biggest pain in the butt. The trail is maintained well but there is not much to look at while on it. I've reserved a back country site twice only to be told upon arrival that the boy scouts took my spot. No refund, no sorry, nothing. Screw this place. Don't waste your time and money coming here. if you like hiking you're better off walking on a treadmill. Place is a joke!!

FDR State Park offers some great fishing lakes and many other nature related things to do! I live five minutes away and I would suggest a visit to everyone. Such jewels, in my own back yard!!!

The state park looks lovely but the camp sites are literally right next to each other. It’s was uncomfortable and stressful. The gray water dump areas were right against peoples camping sites. When I camp, I go for quiet and getting back to nature. It felt like I was in a crowded neighborhood. If you’re into that, great! If not, go to a different park!
