Gold Crest Care Center

My aunt was there for about 5 years. I had to call ambulance because my aunt eyes were hurting so much and I kept asking for help to no avail. Whe. A nurse passed by and I told her I called an ambulance all of a sudden a register nurse was available and that was three hours after I told them. Every day I went to feed my aunt because she was not able to feed herself and alk they would do was put the tray on the table not even close to her and my aunt could not feed herself. It would be hours before they would change her diaper. Finally my aunt passed and deep inside I know it was negligence on their part. And if you're asking yourself why I didn't move her to a better facility . Let me tell you I've been to so many and most of them are short staffed so its the same thing.

First of all I'm giving one star because I have to give some rating. From my family's observation this facility is not very aware of the patient's needs at all! It is hard to call and get in touch with staff to check in on your loved ones, they never call you with updates or if something is needed from the family. You will only know if you show up and ask. The medical staff is not very thorough when evaluating the patient's condition. I wish I had seeked a different facility. Be aware, do your homework when looking for a facility for your loved ones.

This place is not as great as you would like. I don't know about all the floors, but the 2nd floor CNA's are mixed between great & short tempered. They NEVER have enough supplies from sheets, to "chucks," to blankets even towels sometimes!! The decor is outdated wallpaper that is dirty & dingy, ripped in places, and makes the place a little depressing.

Bad service looks n smells nasty!!!!! Very disappointed at there services!!!!
