I recently had to choose a rehab for my father. After a recommendation from a friend whose father is a long term resident I have to say I am happy with my choice. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Any problem my dad has is handled swiftly and with courtesy. Luz Elena has been a joy to work with and maintains an open door policy that is hard to find in most facilities. The smaller facility has also been positive as the staff is quickly able to identify who you are talking about when you call or ask about progress. My dad has gone from not wanting rehab to being proud of how much progress he has made. Thank you Hudson Pointe

On behalf of the Vasquez family, we want to express our most heartfelt gratitude for the care of our family member, Jose Vasquez. A special thank you to Lucy, for being so attentive and informative during his stay. We appreciate all that you've done. We'd also like to thank Anthony the nurse, and Elsie in the Medicare Department. Thank you for making a difficult process so easy. Thank you!

This is by FAR the WORSE place my mother has ever been in. For the past 8 months, my mother has been in and out of hospitals and rehabs she came in from the hospital after having her leg amputated. she had other medical issues which caused her to need to have blood drawn at least once a week. she went there and 5 days later was back in the ER for a blood transfusion. she returned to the nursing home and her condition continued to deteriorate. I noticed she was lethargic and not eating. SHE HATED THE FOOD and i understand why. After 8 days of my complaining her blood work was re drawn and it was discovered, as i thought her blood levels were low again requiring her to need a blood transfusion. the Nursing supervisor who called to tell me was named Tony (a lady) . when i asked why they were going to do she told me they would look for a hematologist and make an appointment. This was a long term solution, but since she was CLEARLY sick now, i wanted to know the plan of care. she said there was nothing that could do because she wasn't "critical enough" i began screaming at her that she was going to let my mother lay there and die because they wouldn't send her for treatment. our call was disconnected and she never bothered to call me back. she was rude and unprofessional. Her blood work was repeated and her numbers continued to drop lower. FINALLY an ambulance was called to take her to the hospital. when she arrived at the ER, her glucose was a 36, she had bumps all round her mouth and color bone. the Dr. said she was severely dehydrated. They are very short staff.... They have left my mother sitting in her feces for an hour, MULTIPLE TIMES. They keep all the patient in wheelchairs sitting in the hall as they sleep or whatever they do. The men are able to walk into ladies rooms because they are housed on the other side of the floor. There are open panels in the ceiling with wires exposed. the only 2 people I think may have cared about my mother and her situation was Luz and Nicholas. but even speaking to them it was too late. My mother is still in the hospital as we speak . this happened a week ago. This is a place people come who don't have family or loved ones visiting so they cant see what is happening. This is not a place of healing. There were PHENOMINAL nurses who took care of her, but they were few and far in between. They seem like they are more concerned with how they are getting paid rather than the care the patient needs. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED HERE. THEY MIGHT DIE

I was sent to Hudson Pointe at Riverdale to oversee a resident that use to reside at our facility. Upon arrival I was not empressed by the environment. I spoke to one young woman at the front desk, who appointed me to what floor the resident was on. The old stinch of a smell turned me off. As I reach the floor another young lady appointed me to the room with an attitude. When I entered the room, it smelled old and closed in. There was mouse traps in two corners. The bottom walls were strip with old chipped paint. It also fell like I was in a sauna that’s how hot it was. I ask someone to please turn the heat down and a third woman had the most disgusted attitude about turning down heat. An older woman that was congregating together informed me on how to turn it down. I wanted to sit in the day room and was told by the same disrespectful woman that I couldn’t sit in there. I questioned why. May I say this facility is staff with mostly African or Carribean woman. The attitudes and the non professionalism was very disturbing. Thank God I don’t have a relative that is staying there. I would not recommend anyone at all. I rate them at the bottom of the pits!!! Not even one star!!!
