Riverdale Nursing Home

I found the aids to be young and polite. Their room is nice, bright and clean. My parents are there and they like it. The live music entertainment is very good and music is always good for the everyone, young and old. I've never met the social worker or director but hopefully one day I will.

When I first came to Riverdale nursing home I thought it was nice, maybe some day I might work here I thought to myself . It's was nice for the first two days, after that everyone with the exception of a few staff members who are very nice soul's and two new trainees who are lovely soul's as well but anyone else makes want to quit with in seconds, now I'm not a C.n.a nor an R.n I'm coming from another agency doing hospice care but I don't feel welcome at all nor do I want to work with the nursing home ever well this one at least. Even with the indirects of some staff members im still polite and courteous with every staff member and I always arrive a half hour to an early with or without car fare and I wish them the best

This is no doubt the worst place to ever rehab for anything!!! I'm here and the staff is bar none the dumbest and laziest there ever is!!! None of the nurses want to work. The aids do everything but are handcuffed because they're not allowed to do what the nurses do. Who do nothing. The so called people in charge are non existing. The head RN who cares but is also handcuffed. Never will come back or will recommend this place to anybody!!!!

My mother was there. Nursing staff was poor. It was very hard to find a doctor to ask questions. My mother had pain in her leg from the cast she was wearing. They just have her Oxycodone. It turned out she was getting cellulitis and her skin was turning black. I found this out when we took her to her private doctor who immediately admitted her to Montefiore Hospital. She almost lost her leg. Very bad place. No socialization for the patients either. Just sitting in day room watching TV. I do not recommend this place at all!

Riverdale Nursing home is The Worst nursing home ever ! the rehab sucks most of the staff are very disrespectful all of the nurses AID are Jamaican and barley speak English they are also very rude the Administratior is a drug addict she is always high on cocaine this place sucks I wouldn't recommend anybody bring their familys here
