Malibu Surf Coach

Had an excellent surfing lesson with CJ and scheduled two follow ups already with Chris. These guys are excellent. CJ adjusted the lesson to my ability and had me standing up and trying to turn in the first morning. He was encouraging, informative and fun. Chris has been responsive to me schedule and very helpful in setting up the lessons. Wetsuit and boards included. We even saw two seals twenty feet away from us in the water, it was an excellent morning and I can’t wait for more. Best surfing lesson experience I can imagine.

Malibu Surf Coach Chris exceeded all my expectations! I've always wanted to learn to surf yet I was nervous to try it. Chris was humble, understanding, and professional~ tailoring a lesson specific to my level. Not only do I have a great time at all my lessons, but I walk away feeling like I really improved at my surfing. I would highly recommend Malibu Surf Coach. My four year old has now begun lessons with Chris and we are off to a great start.

We signed our 13 year old son up for a lesson with Chris at Malibu Surf Coach and it was a great experience. Our son had several surfing lessons on a vacation some time ago and so was not a complete beginning, but is certainly very inexperienced. This is particularly the case given the wave heights and water temperature in Malibu in November. Chris instilled a ton of confidence in both my partner and myself and in our son. In the water he helped our son select waves, work on his paddling and surfing technique and was a shrewd judge of when the cold and the wipe-outs were taking their toll. Our son had a great time, learned a lot, and built on his confidence. If we're back in Malibu I'll be calling Chris again.

Chris is an amazing coach! I recommend the three-lesson deal. After three days on the waves with Chris, I feel confident enough to pick up a beginner board and get out on some waves he recommended for new surfers. Chris showed me a wave in a cove near Point Dume that we had completely to ourselves so there was plenty of space to learn. He spotted my fundamental mistakes right away and gave super helpful pointers so I was able to get some traction and have a lot of fun. If you are learning to surf in Malibu, this is the right team.

Chris is awesome. Price was great and he didn’t overload me with things I was doing wrong. Went over a few things at a time to concentrate on until I got it down and then we moved on to the next thing. Great day hanging with Chris!
