This is a great North county beach. Good little break for surfing, decent parking along the street, and stairs make access much easier. As beaches go in North county SD, there are better with easier access. In fact, there really isn't much beach at high tide, and it can get full of seaweed. But it's when the tide are low that the real gem off Terra Mar emerges-- the tide pools. Lots of cool sea life to discover: anemones, crabs, baby lobsters, little fish, shrimp, octopuses, brittle starts, and more! Time your visit with a winter super moon and your in for a treat! Please respect the rules, though, and take only pictures and limit how much you handle the wee beasties.

Absolutely beautiful location! Very interesting land formations formed by the surf.

My wife and I run through here almost every Saturday morning. Great ocean views and if you're lucky may see some whales passing through on the way to Baja.
