The Surfrider is more than a pleasant surprise - it's now one of my favourite hotels in the world. I stayed in the Surfrider room and it was huge, California glam - linens, bleached timber, the comfiest bed and the ocean outside. Food on the gorgeous roof deck was brilliant, I think I ended up healthier despite the margaritas!

World Class Surfbreak and one of my favorite waves in California. Watch out for beginners can be dangerous. Also there are a lot of people here who do not understand common surfing etiquette or just don't care.

Great beach to bring a date too or go with friends. Please, don't litter our beaches though! And please respect the homes of those who live there!

Hate the bugs! My son goes surfing with special needs group here, but the distance, parking, and bugs are crazy! Next month will be our last visit there....
