Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Burlington

Great place for the price. The staff was polite and accommodating. They fixed a reservation error that was my fault without complaint. The beds and linens were comfortable and the quality that I expect from a higher priced hotel. There was a TV, microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board in the room. The breakfast was nice and had several choices as long as you like a sweet breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. Convenient to I-85 and I-40, just a minute off the interstate.

Well I was there a week ago. The owners of the company were extremely nice, understanding people. When they found out what we were there for and that we were going to visit the hospice house. They knew we would have to eat out a lot and gave us coupons to help us out. I can tell you most hotels could care less. The room we stayed in was clean and everything was in working order a little out dated but thats ok. No bugs of kind that I have seen. They even helped us check out a day early. Where at most places would charge you a fee to check out early they did not. One of the third shift staff definitely belonged on 3rd Shift. He was quite rude and disrespectful. Which was interesting because most Indian people are not rude. He was a to myself kind of person. When we first checked in it was in the evening time and this gentleman was the one who checked us in we didn't get Good Vibes right from the start. I am glad that we stayed now and met the owners because that changed everything for us. If waffles are what you like for breakfast there is definitely those for your breakfast. I however am not a waffle eater. They did have yogurt, bagel, pecan rolls and cereal. But there was nothing else hot on the continental breakfast other than waffles. So if you're going for breakfast and your eggs and bacon and sausage kind of person this is not your hotel.

Nice, clean hotel appeance immaculate. My only issue was that one member of the management staff is very rude and not very accomodating. I will nit come here again for that reason alone. I have NEVER felt that way anywhere I've been. And I travel alot! Too bad. But I must say that not everyone was rude but when you're in front, you represent the franchise.

The good - window seat TV, shower, and bed. Luggage carts for use. Washers and dryers available for guests. Nice vending machine selection, but the chocolate items were melting in JANUARY? Interesting variety of reading material, this was a first for me. The bad - as another reviewer mentioned the toilet was hideous. Pictures enclosed, *warning* do not eat and look at the pictures of toilet. Fruit on breakfast bar, egads. I did not take pictures of it. I woke up to an argument at the front desk at 7:20am. Not what I had in mind for a wake up. Probably would stay again if the price is right. I travel to Burlington four times a year and have to stay overnight...
