Motel 6 Raleigh Southwest - Cary

Came here for the con. I have no idea why the reviews are so bad. The up front guy that was working today around 430 was very friendly. The room is super clean and nice. Hardwood floors, refrigerator, great price. The ac was even on for me so it was nice and cool. Excellent stay! It is a tad dicey outside (loud guests) but no one seems harmful. Other than that perfect.

Room dirty. Bathtub had lots of hair in it. Noise level terrible. Lots of partiers. Police called frequently. Would not keep my dog here. Disgusted. Won't be back and I wouldn't recommend them at all

To be honest I was expecting to have to go get a can of bed bug bomb and a gas mask before staying here. I was shocked at how great the room and the staff were. Great job at this location. I will definitely return the next time I’m at that location. If I had to make a comment for improvement it would be that I didn’t have a coffee machine or iron in the room. Other than that I was blown away!!!

I have stayed in A LOT of hotels in my life and most in recent history. Now I understand that "you get what you pay for", but this Motel 6...is TRASH. I don't even know where to start. It is dirty, run down, dilapidated, severely lacking in customer service, and located in a generally undesirable area. When we arrived, we were routed into what was basically a closet and a small, thick, glass window to check in. The clientele walking around the place (not even sure if some were tenants) were almost entirely shady individuals just sort of...lurking, staring, etc. When we entered the room, it smelled like a gas station bathroom. The only nice thing in the room was the TV, a newer LG flatscreen. The door had obviously been busted in at some point, we had no "do not disturb" sign of any sort. The layout of the room was just very strange. We are fairly sure the bedding had not been changed; actually ended up sleeping in our clothes on top of the covers. The toilet barely flushed and the towels were dirty. We disliked this place so much that we left the next morning even though we had booked two nights. We probably would have left right after we arrived if we hadn't been so exhausted from the road. After the first night, we paid $20 more for a Super 8 down the road and were SO much happier. Bottom line, unless you are bottom feeding scum with no standards, avoid this place.

I had a great experience. Customer service was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely plan to use this hotel again.
