Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Southern Pines

I felt this place deserved five stars 1for the minor quibbles that I had. Our room had been freshly renovated. In a current contemporary style. It had luxury vinyl tile and granite sink tops. It was very clean. A new bathroom with new fixtures throughout. There was a high definition TV on the wall, refrigerator and microwave. The beds were comfortable, but not plus. It is easy to access and located near many attractions. It appears Renovations are ongoing so your experiences may vary. I assume that dough fresh in the outside once they're done with the interior. Overall for a budget accommodations it was a pretty good experience. For my quibbles there was no iron nor ironing board in the room. I assume the desk could likely provide that if you wanted. The same goes for extra blankets and pillows

Wonderful newly renovated clean hotel. Smaller but efficient rooms. Staff really makes you feel welcome. Mid afternoon snacks and free breakfast with good coffee. Half the price of regular hotel. Oh, and good WiFi!

Cheap enough... decent rooms, stayed in several rooms here.. even though heater doesn't work in present room... towels are clean... rooms are comfortable... quiet... Nice people to deal with... good location... easy to park... breakfast is ready early.

Our stay at the Microtel Inn in Southern Pines was our first, but it won't be our last! From the moment we entered the hotel, we were "Wowed" by the attention to detail given by the clerk who checked us in. There was a monitor on the wall behind the check-in desk that showed a security camera's shots around the hotel both inside and outside. That gave us a sense of security about our stay there. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was definitely adequate for us during our weekend stay. The room was clean, and the mattress and pillows were so comfortable! The next morning, we ate in the breakfast room, and we were surprised to see not only the standard Belgium waffle iron but also a pancake maker that made the most delicious pancakes in no time flat! The attendant, Angela, lived up to part of her name because she was an angel to us each morning. She was attentive without being too much so, but she wanted to accommodate our needs and wants. The breakfast bar included anything you could want for breakfast, and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable with guests talking animatedly among themselves. Truly, it felt like home. . . . but better! You didn't have to cook or clean-up! Our stay was so pleasant and comfortable, and we talked with other guests who had been staying there for years. Plus, the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend staying at this great place with a super location next to many good restaurants in town. Yet, it is tucked off the highway just enough to give a sense of privacy. We rate it EXCELLENT!

Small hotel/inn with great facility, clean rooms and plenty of client amenities. Staff was outstanding! I would stay there again!
