Minerals Hotel is a great concept but the implementation is very lacking. The facility itself is dated and not kept up very well. The level of service needs to be improved. We had to call two times because we ran out of toilet paper, when going to the marshmallow roasting there was no one there from the hotel and they ran out of sticks. I'm not sure why they haven't installed space heaters so the the patrons can enjoy being outside when it's really cold. Upper management really needs to put talented people in place which are service orientated and spend a little extra money. If they do, I'm sure they will see a big turn around. The kids really enjoyed the hearted outdoor pool. The lifeguards at night seem to be distracted and no one was monitoring the outdoor pool. I wouldn't leave my kids alone there.

My experience at Minerals hotel couldn’t be more perfect! Friendly and helpful staff, amazing views from or luxury King room (mountains!). Wifey and 3 boys had a grand time at the pools (yes pools with an s) and I would definitely recommend this place! We went clay shooting, archery tag, just amazing experience.

Minerals is an absolutely lovely resort. It's easy to get to here in Vernon, NJ and the staff has been super nice... However, because it's obviously overbooked due to spring break and the Easter holiday, I was not able to check into my room until 8. I found the resort on Groupon and booked a quick getaway for my husband's birthday. I had plans to see a show, use the facilities and take him to dinner at Tavern. But those plans unfortunately were ruined by the delays. The show was at 8, I got into my room at 8. Dinner is at 9, but I have to be on the shuttle by 8:30 due to construction and by the time dinner is over, I will just be exhausted. It's not the staff's fault. They have truly been as helpful as they can be, but I feel like I'm not getting what I paid for. I booked a luxury room so our time here would be extra special but all I will get to do is go to sleep, wake up and check out. It truly is a very nice place and I'm sure there is a lot to do, but I won't get to do much and that's why only two stars. I'm very disappointed.

My family and I just got home back from Minerals Hotel. The people working there are very rude and don't really care about what they're doing. I don't really recommend elderly people or people who are very clumsy to go the pool in this hotel because once you get out of the pool, the floor is really slippery. My dad was walking down the stairs from the pool and he slipped because the floor was all wet and had to go to the emergency room today. I went with my dad to the hospital. Luckily, he didn't break anything. My dad was the only one who knew how to drive and the car was in the hotel's parking lot, so we had to somehow get a ride. Not surprisingly the manager didn't do anything while perfectly knowing what was going on. The hospital we went to wasn't that great either, but they said they tried asking for a ride. The hotel said there wasn't any rides at first until my mom got really mad and started telling the manager properly to get a ride. After 5 hours of waiting in the hospital while doing nothing, we finally got a ride. The pool overall was really great though. When it becomes night the pool glows up and changes into various colors. It's really pretty and I think that was the only part I liked about this trip. We wanted to get our food by room service so we called various times to order our food. They didn't even pick up. I called the number on the telephone and on the one for the menu booklet. Nothing. I got really disappointed so we decided to get Domino's. The guests there were really mean though too. They were glaring at us and staring at us like we were some kind of alien. I'm Korean and I've experienced many pain due to my race. So I really didn't like that. It might be because we are Asian, but we certainly didn't like it. The hotel is very big, so it's really easy to get lost. The staff talk behind our backs and everything. I really hated it. The room was clean, but there were some kids on our floor running around and screaming. I really don't recommend this place to you. If you do come here please be careful down the steps of the pool. I don't really want anything bad to happen to other guests too.

The resort is fine. The room is pretty nice. My fiancé and I were pleased until we tried to open the doors to this place. The closet doors, bathroom doors, shower doors...they all were jammed and off the rails. The coffee maker had not been cleaned because when we opened it, it was sticky and coffee remains were there. The pool is pretty nice but the hot tub was closed because it was colder than the pool (?). The thing that really grinds my gears is that they put a hold when you charge the room (which I get) but apparently it’s for $150- which the guy didn’t tell me about. When I checked my bank account I was surprised that there was an extra $200 charged. When I asked 2 different people at the resort about it their tone was very condescending and they told me there’s supposed to be a $150 hold. I proceeded to tell them it was $200 and they just kind of told me it was a hold so they know my card wouldn’t decline. I understand the hold but the condescension and the fact that he put the extended amount hold without telling me just angers me. There’s not a large food variety and the food is overpriced. Wait is long for food as well.
