Motor Vehicle Division

Website says they are open until 5pm. However when I arrived there at 4:35pm, to change my name on my driver's license, they refused to do it. The worker told me they don't do anything after 4:30pm. This information should be clearly posted on their website but it is not. Another fine example of our tax dollars at work for incompetence, inconvenience, and no interest what so ever in good customer service. They could easily and quickly completed my request had they been so inclined.

We got there just after 4:30, they normally close then. They got our title and registration completed and cut us loose in record time. Can't say thank you enough! Great expierence!

I like the staff, but whomever came up with the idea that having people stand in line rather than sitting while waiting isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. We used to pull a ticket and wait for your number to be called. Now you pull and ticket and stand in line. They must get pleasure out of seeing people stand and wait rather than sit and wait.

Awful. My fiancé had 3 vehicles that we tried to transfer to my brother. Went to the DMV and (due to a lien) they suggested and had us fill out "sold notice" and "bill of sale" paperwork and told us that would take her off the vehicle as far as responsibility is concerned and when we cleared the lien we could change the title. Well the completely screwed it up and either never input it into the system correctly or it wasn't the right thing in the first place. Now 2 of the vehicles were towed and impounded and we had to pay $1000 in fines to get her license and registration on our other vehicles cleared up. Biggest bunch of wasted time and effort and people assembled in one building anywhere on the planet.
