I was actually really impressed with how clean and friendly the place and staff were but also how well organized they ran the place. It's divided into large breed dogs, small breed and puppies, they have a section for exotic animals and an area for cats. We found a dog that we really wanted to meet. After some "get to know you" paperwork we were given a small hand held device that would alert us to when they had a room available. They also have a screen mounted on the wall to let you know how close you are to meeting your animal companion. After a bit of a wait, we were led to a room where they brought in the dog we were interested in. They go through everything from the dogs personality to how well they do with other dogs, food behavior, toy behavior, if you squeeze paws and anything else you want to learn before adopting and or making the right choice. The staff was incredible helpful with the adoption process. We fell in love with our dog, and she has been an excellent addition to our family.

I adopted my chihuahua from here May 2017. I must say he was a miracle because when I called they said they didn’t have any Chihuahua’s not knowing he was in the surgery room so the missed him on accident, lol. Before we hung up, the associate was excited to let me know that they actually did have one available and he was a chocolate colored male. I rushed over as soon as they opened the next day and adopted his cute self on the spot! My other Chihuahua gained a brother and he is the sweetest. This place is great! Never had the chance to say thank you after having him for some time- So thanks!

This is not a no kill shelter. That being said, the employee at the reception for the shelter was very nice and seemed apologetic that they could not help us out. We found a litter of abandoned kittens in a tree, and after bottle feeding them for several weeks, my family's allergies just got too bad to tolerate them long enough to get them spayed and neutered to let out. We ended up taking them elsewhere that was no kill.

Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to adopt yet but I've had the chance to visit here quite a few times in search of a new family member. The care the animals get here is phenomenal and they always seem to be running a special of some sort I'm order to get you to take a pet home. They have some awesome specials on "starter kits" in case you don't own any equipment or cat or dog food in order to get you better situated with taking your first animal home.
