Pet Supplies Plus

They are severely overpriced compared to other pet stores. The staff is rude. They follow you around pretending to be helpful but really, they treat you like you're a thief. Waste of my time; I will never come back in this store.

Staff are very friendly and helpfull but they are not very knowledgeable about caring for animals. They really need to hire someone who knows how to care for fish! They almost never have feeders in stock and they ALWAYS have dead fish in nearly all the tanks. I just picked up 10 feeders (they only had about 20 left) and 3 of them were dead (at the register).

I really like going to the Wethersfield location (the one next to Marshalls / Homegoods). Their other location on the Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield recently closed (that store was very dated, small, and had terrible parking). Staff are always friendly and courteous. My four-legged son is rather large so I shop here fairly frequently for his food, treats, and other supplies. The store is also bright and clean and better organized than the other chains (perhaps a bit smaller but they clearly always offer everything I need. They frequently have great sales on dog food and often send great coupons right to my phone or home. Staff even offer to assist with carry-out of your order including the large bags of dog food to your car (something the other stores don't generally offer - this is a nice perk for shoppers who might need this assistance such as elderly customers). The store is also pet-friendly (well-behaved and leashed dogs) are welcome to go in with their owners). My aunt also shops here when she visits because of their good prices and services (she has a rottweiler so she uses a quite a bit of food too). The store clearly has a great selection of items for dogs and cats but also has items for birds, fish, reptiles, etc. They are nice addition to our town since a small independent pet store (located across the street) closed a few years back - it was closed several years before this Pet Supplies Plus location opened. Keep up the great service!!!
