Petco Animal Supplies

I came in here two weeks and got some great help from the two guys that were working the night shift and were very helpful. But went in today to get some puppy food for my dog and i couldn't get any help at all. This is a great store but could use some more people on the noon shifts.

Good selection of cat and dog supplies. Carries alit of "healthier" foods. Pet toys and clothes galore. Prices are very reasonable. The do grooming as well. And don't forget the fish. Salt and fresh water. I don't think there selection of fish is very large. Lots of aquariums and tank decorations. Staff seems knowledgeable.

Petco in general is a fairly good pet supply store. The only thing I believe should be held against them is that their online and physical locations operate as two separate entities. One time, I was browsing the website and noticed a Catit fountain on sale online. So I immediately proceeded to venture to the physical store to pick it up, only to realize it was priced regularly. When I asked one of their employees, he explained the separation between the online store and the physical store. With that said, our local Dalton store is a well oiled machine, at the peak of what a Petco can be. The store is always clean and the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Last year, I visited the store even more than usual over a few weeks period looking for a specific item. When I asked the store manager when it would be back in stock, he apologized and explained that the line had been discontinued. The next week, on my weekly visit, the store manager stopped me to tell me he had discovered several of the specific item I was looking for while cleaning out the back and saved them for me. That's customer service.

Listen up pet parents.... DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABIES HERE TO BE GROOMED! I just spent a week calling corporate which of course was a disappointment due to the way my pup and I were treated when I brought to the grooming salons attention that a product they used broke out my pup. There was an incident before where no one called to tell me my pup was finished grooming. After a few hours I got concerned and called THEM. I was told my pup had been ready hours ago and "someone was supposed to call me but forgot to"????? So because their rude, lying, incompetent grooming staff and the attitude filled manager got upset about my complaining; I was told they will no longer groom my pup not even trim her nails! There so called "district manager lies, doesn't follow up, and the staff lie as well. There's too much competition out here for anyone to have to deal with crappy, poor grooming, and less then stellar customer service. I honestly don't know how people like this have a job dealing with the public! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE take your babies to Pets Mart! Save yourself a head ache and having to deal with any of this.

This place is a good place to get pet supplies and get training for your dog. Amber is very helpful when I have a dog question or, just need some help. Great service-good people good products. Everything under the sun for your pets.
