Portsmouth Ford Used Car Center

I have been searching for a used car for a couple of months. I've been to many dealerships and dealt with a TON of salespeople. Joel Purdham is simply one of the best! When I found the car I wanted he brought it to my work for me to test drive. I was able to close the deal in no time at all. This is the second car I've purchased from Portsmouth Used Car Center. Their service center is top notch and their customer service is excellent. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality used car. You can't go wrong here.

My husband and I went into Portsmouth Ford today to buy a used Ford Edge. We told Joel Purdham what we were looking for and he was very accommodating. While we were out for a test drive, Joel took the time to find another Edge for us (keeping our preferences in mind) with way more options for the same price. We were in and out of the dealership within 3 hours and left with a fantastic vehicle. The staff at Portsmouth Ford were all friendly and helpful. There are no gimmicks here and no pressure! Thank you for an excellent car buying experience. I highly recommend this dealership and we will be back in the future.

Just wanted to share my experience at Portsmouth Ford Used Car Center. I bought a car from them in June 2017 when they were still a KIA certified dealership. Once i started using the automatic starter i was having issues with my lock button on the the inside of the doors not working. I call Portsmouth they say it is still under warranty and i need to go to a certified dealership to have it looked at. To Manchester i go (long story short) i sit for 3 hours while they take my door apart just for them to tell me it was the automatic start & I would need to go back to the dealership where i bought it to get it taken out/fixed). At this point i am 5 months pregnant and not very happy. Once i leave the Manchester dealership i notice the car is make a clicking noise (Like you would hit the lock/unlock button a bunch of times). i call Manchester back they still tell me i need to go back to the place i bought the car from they think it is the automatic start causing the issues. I make an appointment to have the starter removed... the lock button works but it is still clicking. Now up to this part of my story i would give the Portsmouth dealership 0 stars. After they took the starter out we called them about 10 times over 3 weeks and always got the say response "I need to talk with my manager we are working on getting this fixed for you". The reason i gave this review 4 stars and the only reason is because of LINDA the new Service Manager at Portsmouth Ford Car Center! She was hands out the best to work with. She fought with KIA to get me the parts i needed and when they wouldn't agree she just ordered them. She not only got my doors/lock issue fixed but they put in a new starter for me at no cost. After i left she followed up with me 3 different times to make sure everything was working correctly. She was honestly a life saver and worked so hard to get this nightmare fixed for us! I can't thank her enough for all she did! Thank you LINDA!!!

I had an AMAZING experience! Dave helped me with my purchase of my 2015 Ford Escape. He was patient, kind, friendly and so easy to work with! I never felt pressured, just well taken care of. When it came down to financing, they were able to get me an incredible interest rate, and kept me in budget including warrantee and gap insurance. I came to pick up my car and had a better deal than the night before (almost 5% lower APR!!!) If you’re in the market for a new car, this is where you need to go!

I just graduated college and bought my very first car here (Yay!), and it all went very smoothly. Dave and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable. My family has been buying cars here for years, and after this experience I can say that I truly recommend it myself!
