Awful service and even worse customer service.
I regularly come home to trash cans carelessly thrown over the yard/driveway.
I've come home to a full can because the truck was late or missed pickup.

This week I've had the great experience of paying for Rumpke to make a special pickup and take away an old couch.  Not only did they neglect to pick it up on the day they said they would,  I was told that someone marked the couch as picked up and no one was coming!
They apologized and said they would have someone out right away.

It's now almost 4pm a day after the original schedule pickup and I still have a couch in my front yard..

Do yourself a favor and go with another provider. I promise it will keep unnecessary headaches away.

They never showed up even after they apologized and "sent someone out right away".
I went ahead setup my service with another provider in the area. I'm happy to pay the small increase if it means I'll get the service I'm paying for.

Yard waste is a joke !! They pick up yard waste one week and the next week they don't  show up . Then you call to see why they didn't  pick up your yard waste and they can't  even give you a answer.  This happen every year . This year alone so far it's  been three or four times . I pay my bill on time so for this to happen so often  is unprofessional. Think it's about time to look for another service. Don't ask me to send you a email  so you can look into the issue. You would think if your having the same problem  time after time . That you would already address the issue.  Poor customer service !! No complaints  on the garbage  pick up.                      .... (Update ) ....
Rumpke called me after leaving this review. I really appreciate them reaching out and taking the time to give me a call. I'm going to give them a month  and see how it goes. Thanks again for reaching  out about the issue.

Rumpke is GREAT!!!  We've been their customers about 2 decades now, and these guys haven't missed a beat!  I'm guessing people generally only rate waste disposal companies when there's a problem.  OUR problem was that WE dropped the ball.  It wasn't even their fault, but Rumpke took care of us!!  Everyone from the service reps to the owner made me think they really care about their customers and the service they deliver.  BIG thanks to our wonderful Rumpke team!!

Worst trash pick up service I've ever encountered. We've had a couple incidents where we needed extra trash picked up, which was all wrapped and ready to go. Each time, I had to make numerous requests for it to be picked up. At least one or two weeks would go by, including our trash pick up day, and the trash would still be there. I've requested to speak to the supervisor both times and never received a call. I gave up and figured if I needed extra trash picked up again, I'd cross that bridge when I got there. I got a call from Rumpke this morning and apparently, yesterday (my trash pick up day), there was a "white car" blocking my driveway or the trash bin, I couldn't understand which it was. I do not own a white car, I was not home, and my trash WAS picked up. I found it ironic that I received the call the very next morning in regards to this, yet my calls and complaints could never be taken care of. I make sure to be very courteous when it comes to car parking, trash bin placement, and extra trash being wrapped up to make it easy to haul. This is my last straw. I think I received a call back from Rumpke today after my complaint, except it rang once before they hung up. Terrible customer service. They will make it seem all fine and dandy over the phone, but they do not know how to own up to customer complaints. Hence their terrible reviews.

On 4/6/18, 4/13/18, 4/27/18 my trash was missed from pickup. This repeated oversight is upsetting. I've called in on numerous times and have been reassured that the problem has been resolved and will not reoccur... Though, somehow, this turns out to be untrue. I've spoken with Lynn, Joia, Stephanie, Laura/Laurie, and Joetta regarding this concern. I've received insincere apologies and a crappy $5 credit to my account for the trouble. On 4/13/18, I heard Stephanie speaking in an unprofessional manner about me to her co-workers when she was unaware that our call had not yet been disconnected, when I called back in to complain of this, Joia answered the phone, placed me on hold, then hung up on me as though she didn't want to be part of tattling on her co-worker. Stephanie picked up when I called back and when I asked to speak to her superior regarding the comments i heard her say about me, she denied the comments and claimed her superior was unavailable. Moments later, Stephanie called back, pretending to be her own manager though I recognized her deep, smoker's voice and knew that she was not who she called and identified herself to be. She denied it if course and promised to have someone contact me. That person never did, so i called back in later in the afternoon and spoke with Laurie(?) who claimed that she'd look into my complaints and would contact me with her findings. Of course she never got back with me. According to Joetta on 4/27 around 2pm, she was having a driver come back out today to pick up the missed trash, but as of 730pm 4/27/18, my trash is still at the curb, which is an embarrassing shame, especially since I have a corner lot on a busy street in our subdivision. When my trash was missed on FRIDAY 4/6, it sat on the curb until TUESDAY 4/10 before anyone came back out to get it!! The service with rumpke is awful, both from the drivers who are supposed to be picking my trash as well as the office staff who I've spoken with in trying to resolve my continuous service issue. I am greatly disappointed and angered that since my trash pickup day is on Fridays, I'm stuck once again for the ENTIRE weekend no trash service and most likely won't have this picked up until not Monday, but TUESDAY of next week as usual when they do this...
