MOLD and many other issues, if I could rate lower than one star I'd rate this Motel a negative infinity. First of all, we drove into ocean city, MD from far away. We got there late (left after work), they don't have listed on their website that check in time ENDS at 6pm. So we had to call a random lady who worked there to check us in. We got there around 10pm, checked in and fell asleep shortly after. We stayed on the third floor, room 301. Upon arrival, the staircases leading up to the higher levels are so creaky! The stair cases sound and shook like they were about to break through, same as the "balconies". Upon walking into our room 301, it looked nice. It was very small and cramped compared to how it's described online. The room had a strange odor and the shower leaked all night, since it was late we didn't think much of it and fell right asleep. Fast forward to the next morning and we check out by 11am and we go about our day. Unaware that I slept in a room covered in mold all night! I didn't realize how bad it was until we got home and my mother (who's allergic to mold) got extremely sick from smelling us. My fiancé and I and everything we brought in that room smelled like black mold! It was this disgusting smell that I can't even begin to explain. Us, all our items and the room had this strong musky, moldy, almost urine type smell. On top of all that, I myself have epilepsy/seizures, I was wondering why I had felt lite headed all day. If I have a seizure from this mold you definitely will be hearing from me again. My mom was so terrified I'd have a seizure, she didn't care that she had mold allergies she still washed all of our items herself so I wouldn't get anymore sick and have a seizure. As I was resting and my fiancé was at work my mother called back the motel and left a complaint. They said "the room does not have mold, it smelled awful from the last people that booked the room because they smelled bad too." If the room smelled awful from the last couple, then it wasn't properly cleaned. Which my mother brought up and all they said was, "well it wasn't cleaned properly than, and there's nothing we can do". We couldn't even get our money back or any sort of refund. And it was definitely mold! Probably from the bathroom because the showers broken and was on and leaking all night! The place is awful I highly don't recommend this Motel. They don't even give any towels, most of the advertised TV channels don't work, our lamp was faulty and falling apart, the bulb didn't even work and the mini fridge wasn't even plugged in and didn't get cold. They also advertise rooms they don’t have!! There is NOT a kitchen in every room, it’s just a broken mini fridge and small microwave, The AC hardly worked as well. We told them about the towels and such the next day (we didn't bring up the smell of mold because we were unsure at the time and didn't realize til we got home and my allergic mother got deathly sick). My fiancé even called back complaining for over 20 minutes! They said they can't do anything since we checked out before we complained. I don't recommend this place at all!! There's tons of bad reviews on line as well, which I read and thought "well it can't be that bad". I was wrong, it is that bad and please believe everything you read bad about this place. I'm never staying here again!!!!!!!!! I didn’t even see all the other reviews describing how filthy it was and the “awful smell” until I myself decided to leave a review!!! Don’t go here no matter what!!! They don’t clean the rooms and have mold!!! It’s falling apart and not worth it at all!!!!!

It's an old model that is one block from the beach. It is worn-looking but clean. The bed was firm and very comfortable. It has a fridge​, microwave and eating area. It was the least expensive place we could find that night. It was a good value for the price.

If you like the smell of an old soggy musty frat house basement, this is the place for you. As soon as we walked in, the musty mildew stench took over. A few recommendations--1. BYOB- bring your own bed sheets. The comforter looked like it hadn't been washed since it was made in the 70s. 2. Bring your slippers unless you like walking on cold dirty slimy tile floors. 3. Don't plan on sitting on the couch. It looked like someone got really drunk and hungry and strayed chewing on the couch. It's ripped with stuffing coming out. 4. Bring your own soap unless you like washing with scent less laffy taffy. 5. If you have back problems, don't stay here. The bed was more like a hammock. It caved in the middle. I've seen better looking motels in horror movies. Now I see why the sign in the office says "absolutely no refunds after check in" because once you see how bad the room is, you're going to want a refund. I would rather have slept on the beach.
