No stars, their lease places no responsibilities on them to upkeep the property. If any of the appliances break for whatever reason, it is on you to replace it. If you rent from them, upon moving in, take pictures when you fill out the damage report and they (the pictures) need to be dated. The manager is very unprofessional and will cuss at you and the font desk ladies are rude. They tried to charge us late fees when rent the 1st was on a weekend and we turned rent in on the following Monday. I have talked to my friends who have rented property they managed, and they tried the same thing with them on several occasions. You have to hire a carpet cleaning company to clean prior to moving out and that is something you pay out of pocket. There is a reason they are not apart of the Better Business Bureau, they are crooked. Make copies of everything (damage report and get work orders in writing not over the phone!) because they'll do whatever they can to get money out of you. BE CAREFUL!

I rented from Sunrise for 2 years, they where a great company! My property had been well kept and clean when I moved in, the paint was fresh and carpets where clean. The two ladies at the front desk are are very helpful, if I had any issues with the property it was taken care of immediately. I had no problems when I moved out getting my deposit returned, but I did my part and made sure when I left the house was clean. Thanks Sunrise Management!

The pet policy is absurd! What kind of people require a cat to have its fingers amputated at the first knuckle in order to be acceptable? It would be better to simply say that they aren't welcome at all! I wonder how many poor cats have been mutilated so that someone can rent from these people. I would strongly encourage them to revise their policy on this matter. And don't even get me started with the breed-specific dog discrimination!

This management company is absolutely terrible. I would give it ZERO stars if I could. They lack a lot of things, but a couple to note are their professionalism and their honesty.
My husband and I moved into a property two years ago. They told us to write on our own paper any types of damage or missing things the place had. They did NOT provide us with a list of things we should be keeping an eye out for. But, we did walk the house and listed anything that was an issue or concern. One big problem was that there was a hole in our front window the size of a medium ball!! It took them a month to fix.
We rented from them for 2 years and they left us alone as we were good tenants and paid rent early every month.
We recently moved out and they scammed us. They took all of our security deposit which was $655 and $714 dollars more. They charged us for ENTIRE house carpet repair, a cleaning fee, and charged us for 2 missing screens. Both screens we did not EVER HAVE. They said it was all of our fault because we didn't list it in our initial walk through. The other kitchen window screen was taken out when our kitchen window was replaced a month later. Not to mention the utility bill with having an open window for that long in the summer time!
When we went in there to negotiate our final bill, they had no mercy, started immediately arguing and yelling at us and said it was our fault.
Saddest thing is, they won't go and replace the screens for the next tenants, so if they don't record they're missing when they move in.... They will profit over $1200 like they did from us.
Long story short, I have no idea how this business is still running. They lack professionalism, honesty and good hearts.
Please don't do business with these people.

I don't know what people are complaining about. I have been a tenant of Sunrise for about 5 years, and they have always been responsive to my requests. Maybe the unhappy people need to take better care of the place they live in. If things are so bad, why do people stay for several years? What about the guy who wanted Sunrise to let him out of the lease because he didn't get along with his roommate? Any property management company works for the owner of the property and NOT the tenants. The tenants are supposed to take care of the property, and if they don't, they deserve to be charged for damages. I have talked to other Sunrise tenants and they tell me they have been treated well and maintenance was done in a timely manner. I think you complainers expect too much!
