Super 8 by Wyndham Wausau

I was only in town for a few days to visit someone for their birthday. Kept the do not disturb sign up the whole time we were there, so we didn't have much experience with most of the staff. Breakfast options were limited, but there was coffee, cereal, waffles, etc. There were also vending machines, though only some of the beverage ones took card. All in all, it was a good stay and I'd definitely recommend it to someone popping into Wausau for a quick visit.

Fresh smelling sheets, rooms were so clean , felt like a new hotel. Food was of great choices, I would pick this for a perfect stay.

My experience here was horrifying my card got charged for my room and my friends. The manager Nick was rude and said it's their policy to charge the card that holds the rooms. Really as he didn't tell me that the day I checked in and he was told they were paying for their own room with their own card. Also when I called initially to talk about the double charges I was told to call back Friday to talk to the manager. Called back Friday now all of sudden Nick is the manager hmmm he wasn't when I called on Monday. Sadly the motel is nice with clean rooms easy access to many restraunts and stores. All the other staff was friendly and nice. It is sad one person can ruin a good thing.

We will never stay at this hotel again. Room was already paid for and a credit card on file,still wanted a cash deposit. Just because other people have had drugs and alcohol in the hotel and the hotel got busted doesn't mean that all guests under 21 will do the same thing, especially when you have a40 year old and his18year old son offering my son and his girlfriend drugs and alcohol. It's not always the young ones that are the bad people. And not allowing the person that has the deposit on the room to be in the room when they check it out is beyond ridiculous. I insisted on standing outside the room when they looked it over because of all the bad news going on about this hotel. I was not about to get charged for something that was already damaged or missing, which I took pictures of when we got to the room. There were kids stomping up and down the hallway all night. Oh yeah, my son and his girlfriend, both 18, stayed alone there all 3 nights he paid for by himself. They weren't loud , no drugs or alcohol. And how was I supposed to stay in the room with them if it was a 1 queen room? Sleep between them? I don't think so. Sometimes 18year olds are more mature than people think.

Recently renovated property. Nicely appointed rooms. VERY nice breakfast. Overall well worth the price.
