I've been to VHG for several years and it's a wonderful place for camping. The hosts keep the showers and bathrooms clean, the sites are large and well maintained, half of them are reservable, and I've never had a problem finding a site open. There is not any phone or TV access however.

Stayed here the week after Labor Day.  Very quiet, 21 sites that are very nice.  Small bathhouse with 2 toilets and 2 showers for the whole campground.  But pass to Cliffside Lake is included, and it's close to a whole bunch of waterfalls and trails.

Hot showers, Excellent Tent pads. Uncovered picnic table and fire pit at each campsite. Water is only at bathrooms. No electricity except in bathrooms. Making reservations a good idea. Camping fee includes day pass to the nearby lake.
