Most amazing hospital experience ever. Had a 5 night stay in the gynecology ward. Sister Frieda, sister Nelly, sister Rose. Day shift and night staff are all amazing. Even the ladies that bring the food to the rooms are so amazing. Thank you for the amazing treatment. For the 1st time ever I was actually sad to leave a hospital. Keep up the amazing work.
I stayed in the hospital for 3 nights/4 days and honestly, I was cared for so well from the minute I walked in until I was discharged. I’ve never stayed in a hospital for more than one night so I was very nervous. All the staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help. The food was absolutely delicious every single meal and it felt like I was in an hotel meaning the food was served at the temperature needed fresh and beautifully plated. Bedsheets we’re changed every night and the cleaner came regularly to ensure our room and bathroom was clean at all times. I drank a lot of water and they refilled my jug a few times a day with ice without me even having to ask the whole time. The nurses/staff are very observant meaning that they quickly learned what makes me feel comfortable and proceeded to do those things. Overall, I am extremely happy. Thank you for the wonderful service.
My name is Anna, I am 31 years old, living 300km from Pretoria in the heart of the bushveld. I am a wife, a mother of 2 small children, full time employed and… since the 8th Oct 2022 a stroke survivor. Thanks to the unbelievable team working at Kloof Mediclinic. My story is long, but in a nutshell what happend to me was not supposed to, not considering my age, lifestyle, and habits… though it did. I had an Ischemic stroke in my Basilar Artery leaving me with damage to the Pons part of my brain with physical trauma and damage to the left side of my body affecting my walking, speech, sight, hearing, swallowing etc. I am grateful to my Saviour that we reached the hospital in such short time and for the swift action of the ER staff. I cannot imagine what my condition would have been without their care in those sensitive, critical and crucial hours after the stroke. The word ‘thank you’ feels empty for the amount of gratitude it is meant to convey, with tears in my eyes… so truly, to every doctor, surgeon, specialist, speech therapist, audiologist, physical therapist, nurses, porters and radiologist that carried me through these 10 days I say Thank You!! May God bless your steps, guide you and strengthen you all the days of your lives with the never ending task you have taken as a profession. I will never, in my life, forget how good you were to me during the my darkest moments. I thank the following people by name, even though there were countless staff members who's names I don't know: #Dr. Sonja Stocks #Dr. Van Graan ESJ #Dr. L Nel #Mrs Mariet du Plooy #Mr Kgabo Masoma #Mrs Sasekani #Mrs Therésa Olivier In loving gratitude, Anna
I would give 0 stars if I could. This is the worst hospital. I was half unconscious upon arrival, I was taken to a bed and they only asked for my symptoms. No one told us the costs or anything else. They did not even consider patient nor family history. They refused to hospitalise me and the doctor concluded that I am dilusional about my chest pain. Upon leaving the doctor ignored me as if I was not there when I wanted to get my script. Do yourself a favour and avoid this ER. If I were to experience any other heart problems I will hold them accountable for avoiding patient concerns. An update, I got a new doctor at Kloof an he was kind enough to listen to all my concerns and did his absolute best to make sure my heart is ok. He even phoned a heart specialist at another hospital to rule out heart problems. Thank you to this amazing man for actually listening to me and treating me with respect.
Very bad management with admissions. Explained my dissatisfaction with a Ms Wessels and she became argumentative. My sick wife sits in excruciating pain for more than an hour. No explanations and when you enquire, the above mentioned lady is rude. I pay for this service. If it was a governmet hospital one would understand.
I hav not got 1 word bad to say about Kloof hospital. I was admitted in the medical ward for 3 nights and it was absolutely amazing, the staff were so friendly & helpful. Definitely one of the best hospitals Iv stayed in. Thank you Kloof hospital, keep up the good work.
went to the ER and was already met by the security who organise a wheelchair and escorted me in as I injured my foot. The administration process went quickly and they explained that I will need to pay for the consultation if not being admitted and n claim back from my medical aid. The staff assessed me and stated me in IV pain meds as I was in serious pain. The Dr assessed my foot and sent me for x rays. I was given more IV pain meds and brought a nice hot blanket without having to ask. The Dr gave feedback from radiology and advises to wear a moonboot or use crutches which they could organise but I already had at home. The Dr gave a prescription for meds. I informed them prior that I had severe allergies to certain meds including pain meds and they managed to take that into consideration which not a lot of Doctors do. Even though I didn't have any fractures, they validated my pain. At checkout I was given the option to make payment arrangements but I was able to pay, they emailed me all the documentation necessary to claim back from my medical aid. They escorted me out in a wheelchair also. The staff are all friendly and checks in regularly to ensure that the patients are confortable in their time of need. Well done and thank you!
I had my baby a week ago at Kloof, and the service was excellent. The staff, Dr Mostert and everyone was wonderful. I will recommend Kloof hospital any day to get your perfect baby.
I have been to the hospital for the past 2 weeks to visit a family member. HOW does a hospital allow patients and visitors to smoke at the entrance of the hospital , surrounded by NO SMOKING signs??? As you enter the smell of cigarettes' smoke overwhelms you. This matter should be reported to Health and Safety . I showed the one patient that they are sitting smoking next to a No Smoking sign and was nearly attached - shocking
The hospital staff is very friendly, caring, considerate and knowledgeable. I was there for a shoulder operation on 31/10 and discharged today 02/11, and could not ask for better care. Great hospital!
