Protea Hotel Sea Point in Cape Town.

The staff at Marriott Protea Hotel were welcoming and helpful from the minute we arrived. As a Platinum Elite member, we were able to have a 1 bedroom suite w/ king size bed. The room was stocked with water, coffee, teas, a tea pot, as well as fridge, blow dryer, ironing board and iron. There is a large TV in the living rm area as well as a small TV in the bedroom. As Platinum Elite we were given a choice of free breakfasts during our 3 day stay or 500 Marriott bonus points. We chose the breakfast option. Breakfast consists of a large buffet as well as made to order items like omelettes. The coffee is very good and staff are excellent. The swimming pool/ sun deck were right down the hall from us. Its a pleasant place to hang out with grand views of the mountains and a partial view of the sea. Its only a block from the ocean promenade and there are many restaurants nearby as well as a large grocery store w/ a Starbucks inside. There’s also a Seattle Coffee Company store.

Near all the action in Sea Point. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding. Laurence is the concierge. He an amazing asset to this hotel. He was able to set us up with some amazing tours. He even walked us to the embarkation point for the Hop On Hop Off Tour, which has a start/stop point nearby.Rooms: 5/5

A wonderful hotel! Beautiful balcony view of the ocean AND Table Mountain. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were incredible and so kind and lovely! Michaela, and the entire front desk crew were on top of every request, offered amazing recommendations, and smiled every time we had to ask for a new room key ‍ Sibo, behind the bar every day, was the highlight of our day! His smile was never ending and he was a fantastic server and bartender; keeping an eye on our glasses and ready with another before we even asked! If you meet him, give him a big hug for us! And ask for a gin and tonic mojito. You will not be disappointed!!

Everything was mediocre, rooms, service, location, breakfast. Nothing to really brag about. The rooms were really small. Like really small. No mini fridge, not enough cupboard space for clothes. No where to keep your suitcases especially if you have a cot in the room. I'd recommend the place if you were just staying the night or 2.. not suitable for long stay overs unless you book the big expensive rooms. The shower drain gave off a sewer smell which wasn't pleasant.

I enjoyed my stay at the Protea Hotel Marriott Sea Point Cape town. Rooms are small however, the hotel is conveniently placed with the Promenade down the road. The salt water pool is always warm, I loved it coz the Cape town beach waters are cold . Hotel staff is super friendly, especially Sibo, the Barista/Bartender, his cocktails are out-of-this-world .My favourite is the cucumber Martini And the breakfast buffet is a must try.

Best hotel around the staff was amazing very welcoming ask for Sbo Cheezi Lutu very good guy. Took very good care of me and everything I needed. Highly recommended booking this hotel. Great Mountain View as well as ocean view. Again book this hotel if you can.Rooms: 5/5

Hotel is conveniently located and nice amenities on-site. Also caters for loadshedding. Was a bit disappointed as they did not have any welcoming gifts or kids goodie bags like the other Protea Hotels I have been too. Staff are not as friendly compared to the other Protea Hotels. Walkability: Conveniently located.

Great little hotel right off the main beach road in CT. It's also about one street off the main drag with all the restaurants and shops. Central but still quiet.Rooms: 4/5

It was good to support my husband in the Sanlam Marathon by just walking down the road. I felt safe. I came back and waited for him to go and enjoy your breakfast Rooms: 4/5

The rooms are clean and the staff are very attentive and friendly. It is a great luxurious hotel. It is a five star hotel at the rate of a three star hotel.Rooms: 5/5
