Pulp is the film society of Stellenbosch University
Pulp aims to develop a strong film culture at Stellenbosch University and bring interesting and thought-provoking films to as diverse a group of people as possible. Pulp wishes its members to experience film as more than just a source of entertainment, but as an educational art form.
We have made great progress since PULP's inception, particularly in 2012. In 2012 we welcomed Filmhouse as a partner and so, it has become possible for us to make use of the beautifully renovated Neelsie Private Cinema, with its licensed bar, as homebase. We will have 6 screenings every day and as before, our famous quarterly functions will still be taking place.
Further, we have launched the Sports Cinema, which will be screening major sporting events in HD on the cinema screens… its awesome!
